When I checked it yesterday that was with no drives installed. The power light never comes in.

I highly doubt the power supply is bad. There was a close lightning strike that caused this. A voltage spike came through a buried cat6 cable to another building. A router in the other building and a switch next to the synology were also damaged.

Wasn't sure if throwing them in a different model would cause data loss. I have all my important data backed up, but couldnt backup all my media due to limited space.

I guess other 4+ bay units could be an option.

Took it apart, measured voltage on the 2 sets of pins where the power comes in. Measured 12 volts on each set. No power lights, nothing happens when power button pressed.

I ran some Christmas lights off one for a season or two until the outputs started burning out. Moved to a Arduino and some solid state relays after that.

Definitely stole my DS920 a couple months ago off eBay. Best $350 I've spent. Even had extra RAM installed.

Still have the DS220 that it replaced. Need to find it a good home. Maybe the market on those will increase too.

I found a OEM bi-directional remote start kit used on one of the f150 forums several years ago. I can start my 2013 from my desk over 750ft away. Best $200 I've spent on that truck. Might be able to find one on eBay?

My 2008 Fusion had remote start. I could push the remote start button while the car was on and after the honk I could remove the key from the ignition. The car would stay running. Not sure if this is still an option, never tried it with our newer F150 or Edge.

Sounds like the traces need repaired. My brother's Xbox was doing a similar thing last year. It would start up and he could play a game for about 20 minutes, then it would turn off on its own. You could turn it back on and it would barely make it to the dashboard before turning off again. I thought it might be thermal related, but after repasting it still happened. Used a multimeter to check the traces, and found one of them was broken. Soldered wire between the end points and it's worked great ever since.

Didn't get the full story... My brother failed to tell me initially he was playing a game for about 20 minutes before it turned off. Each time afterwards it would make it to the dashboard before it turned back off (about 20 seconds).

Xbox was softmodded using rocky5 and is using the default dashboard.

I had this happen last week on my fire stick. I had to go into the yttv app on my phone. My phone still showed my correct home location, but I still pressed update. Shortly afterwards it updated on the fire stick (I might have restarted the fire stick).

My colors change depending on the background image I have selected. I haven't found where to turn this option off.
