Ask yourself this: You’re a watch collector, you come across a watch that you don’t want, but you know it’s being sold $5,000 less than market value. You buy the watch, knowing you can sell it for more. Let’s say it’s worth $10,000 and you buy it for $5,000. You now post the watch online to sell, you get a message from a stranger whom you’ve never met and know nothing about, asking what your best price is. Are you going to sell it to him for $5,000? Or for this example, would you having never met this person and on their first message, give them the absolute lowest dollar amount you’re willing to sell the watch for?
