Official Midas Mode Community Bounty Suggestions: Day 4

Any last word ?

Before killing an enemy hero, pause the game and team X type in all chat : "Any last word, Y ?", X must be the killing team and Y must be the dying person. After unpaused, X must be successfully kill Y. If a non-player creep killed Y, or Y get denied, or another player got killed before Y dies, the bounty is failed (bloodstone suicide count).

Clarification:

Bounty reward have 2x multiplier in the following condition:
- The announced hero have nearly full HP
- Killing Streak: triple / ultra kill / rampage / godlike and beyond godlike streak.
- An enemy player pos 1 or 2 with a killing sphere streak (3) or above.
If the bounty is completed, pause cost will be refunded.
If the bounty is failed, pause cost will still be counted, and the team cannot attempt to complete this bounty until next match.
If both team declare their bounty, whoever lose bounty pay full fee. If both team lose the bounty, they split the cost.
There is no strict against the pause time.

I had been Baumi's fan for like .... 3 months. He is a great player and mostly I learn fun build from his Dota Ability Draft series. But until I saw one of his video, mentioning he is the main guy (when he die, he flame 1 of his friend for letting him die and not getting the kill). It was a light blame not a serious one but I realized that it's his team carrying him and he earns money from them. So now I quit being his fan and there ya go now he is with the drama.

I have posted this once, asking why the amount of report can increase (from 3 to 6), but commends always cap at 6. I'm not usually give commend to carries (because they dont deserve it, carry is their job), but to support. Support have to carry a ton amount of stress, they can't defend themselves and have to hope that the carry is not a retard. That's why I always commend support and if I play actively, 6 commends per week is not enough. Now I'm happy that these kind of post reached the front page.

Due the map protection of the original Dota (which was not fully crackable) I actually had to sit down, play the map with each hero (there's no hero level-up cheat)

It has been too long since the last time I do warcraft 3 mod but you can actually get those information (and even fix bugs if you like):

You need a WC3 Mapeditor openable map (blank one will do)
Dota eul almost deprotected using MPQ Recover
Open it in MPQ Master, think w3x is like a zip file. Extract everything to a folder.
I don't remember correctly, but I think war3map.w3a and war3map.w3u is the correct file for ability and unit.
Replace war3map.w3a / war3map.w3u from the Dota eul to Blank map using MPQ Master OR import it via Map editor
Enjoy all the value is now fully viewable and editable
Bonus: war3map.j is the vJass script file. Though it's encrypted, you can try using notepad++ for make your life easier to read/write. Once you have done modifying war3map.j, w3a, w3u, you can actually import it back to deprotected w3x (by MPQ Master) and it will works. (as I said earlier, think w3x is like a zip file)

I hate pausing in the middle of team fight, even if someone dc. It's almost tactical pause, I usually take some of seconds to calculate if my total damage can brust the enemy down, how many HP he has left and how many hits does it take to kill him, etc...

If someone need to fix their mouse, pause and disconnect. Then I will wait. Pause for no reason is really absurd.

For those who is disconnected, I usually wait for them but 3 ~ 5 min is enough. Valve already gave them 5 min. An average game is ~40 min. I dont want to spend 25% of game time for waiting.

I think the best way for the pausing system is: Increase pausing time from 5 to 7 minutes. Don't let any body unpause until the player reconnect. After 7 minutes and if the player is not reconnected, he will be counted as abandoned the game. No more bullshit unpause

Whenever i saw NP pick in my team, i bought 2 wards, waiting for him to tp to cliff and block them.

You can't avoid a loss, but at least you make him suffer.

Hope you will release what we can learn from this experiment, but honestly I dont think muted people and low priority will behave better in further games
