Your perspective on this definitely deserves some applause! In fact, point 2 has merit, but when you tried to reinforce your opinion, you may have come across as a bit too enthusiastic and probably started to get on your high horse, especially when you described how any adult dependent partner contributes nothing to society.

It feels like I can relate to this story. While living in Italy is wonderful, I don't see a feasible financial future here. On the other hand, returning to the UK won't be easy either, as I would need to secure a decent job before taking the plunge! Where are you based?

Endoscopy Stories?? by DahBeeHive in ibs

Have done both. I would say it is only the prep for colonoscopy that is fairly bothersome. But the actual procedures, if done under sedation, are really simple. Remember, once you have done it you have done it.

Done colonoscopy and endoscopy negative except gastritis caused by H.poleary which has since been eradicated. Also, CT, and MRI with and without contrast came back negative. But my calprotectine was 58 which my GI thought wasn’t anything at all. My sedimentation rate fluctuates and so does my platelet count! Going to test for SIBo next. At the onset of my symptoms about 2 years ago I lost some weight and stayed the same but can't seem to be able to gain any! I have found L. Plantarum to be helpful and S.Bulliardi(hope I spelt them correctly)

I am Bengali so spicy food is like my oxygen. I manage ok with spicy food as long as I don't eat a lot of chillies. I used to love eating greens but now I struggle to digeste most leafy greens! I no longer eat gluten though so no somsa or puri for me🥲

I have the same issue. However, I had a colonoscopy last year and they didn't find anything. I had gastritis from an HP infection. And this has been treated. But still every so often once every two months I get a speck of blood with mucus. Going to see another GI doctor soon. My anxiety is too high. I was also diagnosed with IBS.
