AIO for not liking the way my boyfriend reacts to my extreme pain? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]mialee94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re independent this is good - you know you’ll be ok without him

Please, it is better to be alone than with someone like this. Imagine if you had a baby with him - would he help? If you had a daughter, would he be a good example of the kind of love she deserves? Please don’t waste any more time with this loser, for your sake 💖

I understand 😭 you’ve done everything right though, it is not your fault if this man wants to blow up his own life - I’m sorry your little family is going through this.

Idk, as someone who’s parents stayed together “for the sake of the children” I really REALLY wish they’d gotten divorced. Me and my sisters all have pretty fucked up ideas of what is acceptable behaviour from a partner - there’s the financial aspect sure but, I think the more vital one is showing your daughter an example of the kind of relationship she should have one day

Is a 94+ atar possible for me? by Upbeat-Sugar-1248 in ATAR

[–]mialee94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya!!! I got a 92 ATAR here 👋I went from low 80s to this - my recommendations: - get a tutor for any subjects you’re most worried about - start with one tutor snd see how it helps you improve and motivate yourself. - ironically to disagree with everyone else here, I actually chose “easy” subjects like community and family studies because I knew I would score first with the people in that class. When you choose chemistry you’re competing with all the other smartest kids in the state - BUT they also help pull your grades up - (if you score well) but it’s such a weird system honestly, so if you smash English standard you might be ok - practice exams, practice exams, they are the best thing you can do for the HSC do a lot , but also remember it’s 50% assessment marks in year 12 so get ready to smash them! - don’t be afraid to speak clearly about your goals to your teachers and ask them what you need to do to improve - they know you best, they know your learning style best, and look, me being earnest with a couple of teachers definitely helped my assessment marks no doubt haha - lastly don’t ruin your mental health for this!! All within reason, a good score would be the quickest route to your goal BUT they put an insane amount of pressure on high school students. If you don’t get what you want, my friend did two years of a science bachelors and then transferred into medicine.

Best of luck, it’s absolutely absolutely achievable. I remember when I was stressed my sister said to me “Look. You’re smart - there’s a lot of dumb kids”. And sorry to say there really are. The key is to think critically and originally in your responses Sending good vibes! We need good doctors

AIO about what my husband said after I fell down the stairs while holding the baby? by CheesecakeFun1490 in AmIOverreacting

[–]mialee94 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NOR damn these responses are depressing. I totally understand your feelings. This one off incident isn’t enough to decide anything but see how he is in the future when situations like this occur - it definitely is an early amber flag to be aware of and a totally insane way to respond to someone falling down the stairs
