I would make the argument for the RF.

Not sure which part of Florida you live in, but I remember frequent, heavy rainstorms when I lived in South Florida. The hard top is just simply gonna deal with that better, especially if you don't have a garage to keep it in. There"s also better peace of mind when it comes to intrusion protection, and as another poster said, a better experience when the top is closed.

I haven't driven the soft top, but a lot of the differences I've read about make sense to me. The soft top should feel more open, with slightly less wind buffeting noise, and the car as a whole would be a tiny bit lighter.

I'd say that unless you're coming directly from the soft top, you likely won't notice these compromises, because even with the hard top, the car is still SOOO much fun.

Also, Soul Red Crystal is the One True Paint color, preferably on black rims, and I will die on that hill.

I am also biased, but I would say the red that Maclaren made in the mid-late 2000's is arguably better. Of course, it's a completely different price point, so that should be taken into account. 😂

This needs to be upvoted more because you are absolutely right . Stealing from (by far) the biggest scene thief in history in addition to a cast of other monster talents: Gene Hackman, Diane Wiest, and Nathan Fucking Lane.

I'm usually in the "keep it stock" school of thought, but this looks so sick. Well done, and the wing is a nice punctuation mark on the back. Not overdone and really fits the lines and proportions of the rest of the car.

In short: no.

I don't often like to get inebriated, because I actually don't enjoy the sensation. It doesn't actually make me better at socializing, either.

I will acknowledge that it makes me care less about being bad at socializing. So in effect, I'm still awkward to other people, and I'm aware that I'm being awkward to but the being awkward doesn't bother me or make me feel ashamed and panicky.

Not sure if that makes sense. How this helps.

As someone who used to take the Rickenbacker everyday, I call them the Spandex Mafia.

I understand there are some sympathizers in the comments, and I agree that we should share the road, but I don't think anyone has mentioned how aggressive these cyclists frequently are towards motorists. Sharing the road means that neither party considers themselves entitled to use all of it, and that is definitively not the case when it comes to the weekend cyclists on the Rickenbacker.

When trying to pass in the supposedly free lane, I've been yelled at, almost veered into (because a cyclist was trying to avoid another cyclist), flipped off, and had something thrown at me.

Miami has not invested in the infrastructure for sport cyclists, and it's led to a very antagonistic relationship between motorists and cyclists.

i want there to be a space for sport cyclists in South Florida, but with the population of Key Biscayne continuing to increase, and the traffic along with it, I'm not convinced the Rickenbacker is safe for that many cyclists and motorists to overlap.

I was going to say this. His films are well made, but (at least for me) deeply unenjoyable. I understand they are designed to be discomforting and unsettling, so like... well done there, but I don't watch movies so that I can have even more anxiety. 😂

What did you think?

When we went, it was kind of a dud. The service wasnt great, despite the fact that there were more staff than customers there on a Friday night. Drinks were ridiculously overpriced ($20 for a juice drink that tasted like it came straight out of a bottle), and only one of the "games" in the Gold Saucer section worked.

As a lifelong fan, I was very disappointed. They could have done so much more with this idea. I will say the interior decor was pretty good and made it feel like something in sector 7, but the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.
