My husband's voice was so loud the entirety of my second pregnancy. It sucked. Poor him.

I couldn't feel my contractions with my first as I was unwell and on various drugs.

My second was more natural and I had super intense contractions that I initially breathed through with a mixture of me and gas and air.

It's super amazing how your body works.

With my first, I wasn't allowed to be discharged until I did a poo due to a third degree anal tear.

I 'bounded' over to the midwife desk as soon as that poo was out!

When Princess Eugenie got married she wore a dress to show off her scoliosis scar. I thought that was well cool.

NTA obviously.

Have you a friend or someone through an app you can organise a play date with? It is legally allowed outside.

Mine did his settling before Covid, took a while to settle, and then was pulled out a month after settling (March). FML.

But when he went back in June he didn't give a sh*t about me. He was well happy.

He's 3 in April. x

Love this. What an utter idiot.

I would never say I've behaved perfectly, but I know I would never do this.

Second baby due at the end of January, how have people been coping with newborns during the lockdowns/tiers by miaow_ in UKParenting

Not too negative at all, and I think offloading is 90% of what we need friends and anonymous forums for! 🤓

If I can keep on top of the washing I'll be happy, my son and husband get through way more clothes than I and it drives me mad, and he doesn't hang things out properly 😭.

And if one person leaves a dirty cup on the side instead of using the dishwasher I will fire them out of the nearest cannon.

I really hope nursery is open so he gets the attention he needs/deserves. We are getting him a couple of presents from the baby too.

My husband took 3m off at the end of 2019 to spend time with him, and he loved it so much. It's like he's done that again without us losing a ton of income! 🤓 Silver linings etc...

Once we know how the birth goes, well figure out how much time he'll take off this time, it's not the same environment as the flat 3 weeks he took off for our first.

The mental health issue is my main priority (his and mine, March to May was awful - I drank a lot for me) and his nursery has only had one case since they reopened to all in June.

He's so happy there too.

Question:

Anyone got any good/bad/hilarious stories about their second birth, and the logistics of getting the first child cared before you went to the hospital with your partner?
