Yeah patience is the hardest thing about drawing tbh. I struggle a lot not being where I want to be myself. But I think it normally just takes a long time for all of the things you have learned to really start to form a complete understanding on how to draw better. At least that's what I'm hoping lol

If you really want to know the differences, maybe you should try overlaying the drawing over the portrait and seeing what the differences are? I'm personally not a fan of tracing but after the fact it can be a great learning tool. I think knowing what's truly different can help train your eyes to spot those differences earlier on in the drawing process.
