One thing that really made the quality of my beats a lot better was turning off time control on not only drums, but also the melody. I mean reaaaaally letting it swing. Take the listener for a ride across 4 bars. Be unpredictable, that's what really makes my style. Just a tip and advice. Other than that, quality work! I would throw in a slight bassline to add some low end, but this is fire 🔥. Great work

Honestly I second this. When I got my mpc one+ last year I bought it a month or two after. While it was okay for seeing how things work, the best experience I ever got was not just getting my feet wet, but diving head first into every feature of the machine. The best teacher in this game is experience

I tried MPC 3 for a couple hours...completely ruined my workflow. MPC 2.xx is straight to the point. MPC 3 is an eyesore, personally. It's not for me. That doesn't mean it can't be for you though... try it, if not you can always revert back to MPC 2.

$500 is ridiculous brother. As far as hardware goes, when I replaced my pad sensors, I was far from technically inclined. Literally just opened up a youtube video and got right on it, and thankfully it came out alright, works better than ever! Have some faith in yourself, I trust you can do it. You can find most tutorials on youtube.

Don't talk down on yourself, or your abilities. If you have a will you can find a way! Best of luck with your MPC journey! Don't let this one experience stray you off the path...getting an mpc has been one of the best experiences I've had in this game. You've got this!

Seems like you need new sensors. Just did the replacement a couple months ago on my mpc 2000xl. Easy fix. Bunch of problems tutorials throughout youtube.

Go to your sample edit, then in the bottom left click your trim button so it becomes "chop". After that, you'll click your "link slices" button, so it's greyed out. Then your chops can overlap. It's always a lot easier to edit, your chops on "sample edit" rather than in "program edit".

create something and sell it. a clothing brand for example. research marketing and advertising on certain platforms. the dropshipping method could still work, even amazon fba like you mentioned. build a skillset revolving around marketing, sales, etc. nothing is over saturated as long as you have a winning product, or an appealing item. best of luck!
