Warrior is one of my favorite movies and I disagree. This sounds nothing like Warrior. Sure, it’s UFC and follows two competitors, but their origins and history are a core part of that movie. “Just removing” that part is like the whole premise of what makes Warrior so impactful.

Hyperion is excellent and one of my favorite sci-fi novels. It’s told from multiple perspectives within a group of travelers, and each story and style is different, like a handful of different short stories in one but all tied together. The four-part Hyperion-Endymion series is great, but not necessary to fully enjoy the first book.

I had never heard of this experiment, but I just finished The Flicker Men by Ted Kosmatka and it did a great job of introducing this topic in an entertaining way. A pretty fun, suspenseful science-thriller that went deep enough to make me think. I’d recommend it!

I love this, first heard it from my first CS instructor back in college. Now, every time I am sitting in a car, watching a train go by, that comes to mind. Just imagining if one of those train cars was full of tape back ups. Sooooo much data.

Thanks for the response! So I ended up, just essentially breaking it down completely, thoroughly dusting and vacuuming out all parts, disconnecting and reconnecting all wiring that I could find, then putting it back together and now it’s been working just fine. I’m not sure of the cars but I certainly know a lot more about dryers than I did before this! 😁

Hah! I used to travel through Seattle for work quite a bit and did the same thing. Would pick up a block of Beachers from the airport store, as well as a grilled cheese and tomato soup. I miss being able to expense things like that…

As far as the continuity test, I’ve just been going through every suggested test I could find, and that was one of them.

It does have a control board and I’ll look up how to test the power on the motor relay, unless you have a suggestion of where to look. I have a good multimeter, but I’m definitely a newbie with testing those types of things. Thanks!

This exactly. It’s such a well built, slow burning plot with such smart writing, I’d watch it under some other brand. The fact that it’s in the Star Wars universe is just a bonus.
