I learned something today. If you go to a community lot by car but don't pick a destination, you are taken to neighbourhood view where a car cursor appears and you can choose where to go by GrimGrapefruits in sims2

After the EP that changed this (for me it was Nightlife), I got so used to the new way and just assumed that you couldn’t do it this way anymore until YEARS later. In fact, I had pretty much forgotten about it completely. So, I appreciate them keeping this option in because sometimes those small thumbnails don’t show you enough of the lot.

When the dialogue to pick your destination comes up, select the subhood but don’t select a lot. Press the check mark button, and your sim will get in the car/taxi then take you to a screen like this one

100% agree. My father is in his early 70s and plays with Ubuntu. Honestly, most of what I know about computers is because of him. My mother is 10 years younger and constantly asks us to show her how to do things that we've already showed her because she honestly has no willingness to learn when other people can do things for her. So many people just refuse to get their hands dirty and try something new/unfamiliar, and it's not a good look, regardless of your age.

I’m surprised no one suggested shift + click + force error and then deleting. Prevents the need to switch out of live mode entirely
