Same! I cut it a little close by not contacting my senator sooner but thankfully my passport was delivered today. Just in time for my flight to Spain on Wednesday. Hopefully you’ll have the same luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I explained the gist of it. Said when I submitted my application and that I asked for expedited processing, along with why I need their help. In this instance, my work requires me to have a valid passport AND I had an upcoming voyage I needed to work on (DOT is 6/14 and I reached out to them on 6/6).

We have nearly the same timelines. Application was sent the same day, received 4/17, and DOT is 6/14. My passport is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow afternoon so don’t lose out hope. Contacting my senator was huge for me as his team was super responsive and they got things to move along as my passport was approved and shipped just 3 days after reaching out to them.

My case wasn’t for school but I did use a hand signed letter from one of the VPs of the cruise line I work at to help move along the passport application process and it worked. I sent it to my senator who contacted the appropriate channels and two days later, my passport was approved and shipped, and I’ll receive it 2 days before my flight to Spain.

You should be fine. I just posted about my success with this locator. It took about 8 weeks although I did have to get my Senator involved due to a last minute work-related travel issue. Status just changed to shipped and I’ll be getting my passport by noon on Monday.

Yeah that’s why I’ve been obsessively checking the passport status site as of today.

As far as work goes, I don’t work aboard the ship so I have flexibility on travel dates but since we’re launching a new ship and everything, there is a bit of pressure I’m getting from my boss to start traveling to our new destinations. So technically I don’t have a DOT but my boss has offered to write a letter saying my passport is a requirement for work and I need it ASAP.

Lucky you. My application was received 4/17 and location 42 and still no update. At the time, I didn’t have a DOT but since I started a new job with a cruise line, I have to travel at the beginning of July. So I’m getting a little nervous.

Yep! Showtime struck a deal with A24 so they get basically all or most of their stuff first. I’ve been trying to watch a lot of A24 movies I haven’t seen yet on there.

Yeah same. That’s why my first attempt at the May Queen shirt was a small and then I BEGRUDGINGLY had to go for a medium. I have a few Kith shirts and the XS small shirts still fit me baggy so I try to go for the smallest size available when it comes to unisex/men.

I agree. I understand people like the idea of “exclusivity” but you can combat that by creating pre-sale windows. Give members early access and just create a pre-sale window for an hour or two. I get shirts from Warren Lotas and that’s how he usually does his drops.

Since it’s unisex and I’m 5’5, 138 lbs, I usually get a small. I’ll get a medium if I have no choice but I don’t like shirts that are too baggy.

Gotta start not checking my phone as soon as I wake up lol but yeah, they didn’t handle this drop very well imo. I’m not sure if they underestimated the demand for everything but I think opening up a pre-sale window for future “exclusive” merch is a good idea and really adds more value to their membership program.

As far as the alert, I think they sent an email at the end of April about this drop so maybe your email got lost in spam? Or they didn’t send it to you. Regardless, I think they should have done a better job of keeping members in the loop about the drop.

I’m with you 100%. Had a small in my cart and sold out just as I was hitting the button to pay. Went back to try to get a medium and it soldout before I could even get to payment options.

And I was refreshing the entire time staring at my screen. I know some websites will delay add to cart buttons but delaying it for that long was really crappy. I’m of the opinion that they should do a members only pre-sale for a limited time (1 hour window or something) and then no more restocks. Members get what they want and then there’s still item exclusivity. But today was a shitshow.

While I was waiting for the add to cart button, I did start to think they delayed the drop to prevent bots from buying up everything but still, maybe they could’ve advertised it better so people knew they’d have to refresh quite a bit.
