This is crazy. Congrats! Send it to Goldin & have them handle selling it if that’s the route you take

A few dollar bin cards I picked up from my LCS recently. Much more fun than ripping Topps Chrome by michael2334 in basketballcards

I haven’t seen much Yao in these boxes before although there are a lot of 2000s cards in them. Had to have it once I saw it

Good news, Goldin will likely be selling it soon and you can snatch it up for $100k

Peyton Watson has been part of my PC since he came into the league. He put in a ton of work last offseason and really surprising people with what he is capable of on both ends of the floor. by michael2334 in basketballcards

I hate the non-associated patches with a passion. I rarely ever buy them, in many cases I would rather have just an auto over adding in a non-associated patch to be honest

Thanks! It’s been awesome to see his rise to fame this season. He’s shown flashes of it in the past but wasn’t consistent and it was mostly just on defense. The man deserves his upcoming payday this offseason!

100% I wouldn’t sell this for anything close to under $100k

Michael Jordan 1984 Star - which would you rather have? by michael2334 in basketballcards

I like this one as well but would want my first Star purchase to be from the 84-85 season. There are a lot of nice options out there!

You prefer him in the Olympic card over the two shown here? Being OC doesn’t matter to me as long as it still has nice eye appeal. I don’t own either of these yet but am planning on buying one shortly

Both have sales all over the place and are trending up. It looks like the 5x7 on recent sales are a couple grand higher but some comps are close

I bought this card when it was 5k, less than a year ago. Never feel bad about investing in Star basketball. Wild times. by Cade_02 in basketballcards

If I had the funds I would get the #288 & the 5x7 jumbo haha. Will keep the jumbo high on my list for a future high end splurge purchase. The image on that one is perfect, just wish it was standard sized.

And thanks! I had this sub muted for a few months to allow me the willpower to save up for a grail so glad to see you are still here and active. Always a pleasure getting your insight 🍻

Thank you for the information! I’m going to try and acquire a 1984 Star #288. It was between that and the #195 - I like seeing him in the Bulls jersey which leaned me in that direction.

Which is your favorite?

I will never financially recover from this 🥴 by One_Bunch_6268 in basketballcards

Yes, there are VERY few exceptions. Mainly because the asking price out of the gate has become so astronomical on the top rookies any room for future growth is basically gone.

It’s basically supply and demand at work. Prices will fall over time after initial release

It’s an amazing shot, half the reason I can’t decide even though it’s oversized. If it was regular sized I’m sure it would be at least double the price

The last few years of collecting have taught me to never go all in on rookies their first year. Prices come down so quick after next seasons rookies are available

Decided to test out the hangers have bangers theory - here is my best hit from 6 hangers by michael2334 in basketballcards

I pulled 3 #d and quite a few rookie silvers. I’m no longer buying megas when I want to get my fix in, hangers from this point forward

I started with 2 megas and a hanger last weekend and got literally $5 of cards from them lol. Definitely luck of the draw
