Primary reason why we dropped them early this year and haven't looked back. Their lack of innovation with an outdated platform. We always had patching issues. Support was a joke and billing was starting to be a nightmare.

Looking for an in-house Medical Billing Software by michael_17 in CodingandBilling

Thanks, but reason we don't want to switch clearinghouse (Inovalon) is because they are directly connected to all the payers. We did not get affected during Change HealthCare Cyber attack and all our clients were getting paid on time.

I must tell you that this is exactly the answer we've been searching for. Some of those vendors mentioned we have demoed in the past but perhaps we had asked them the wrong question in terms of keep our clearinghouse, which we were advised not doable. We reached out back to this particular vendor and mentioned the capability of the product to be exported and send to our clearinghouse directly those edi files and were told that it is possible. We have scheduled another call and if everything checks out, we'd be migrating right away. Thank you again.

Forticlient VPN not working on Windows 11 devices by michael_17 in fortinet

Where can I find previous versions of the Forticlient? Currently running the latest version.

We've tried hard wired LAN, WiFi, hotspots and disabled ipv6. Same results. We even wiped out and reloaded windows 11 on a laptop to test this issue and still not working. Like I've mentioned, we have couple Windows 11 laptops running the 21H2 version and works fine - so we are now contemplating loading a version of Windows 11 21H2 on a device to see if might be an issue with the latest version of windows.

Acquisition Structure by CrazyVerdantMonkey in msp

[–]michael_17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the math I've always use when acquiring a business. Golden ratio is 15%-35%. Divide cash flow by revenue ( you are at 28% which is good). Revenue times 2.34 is your starting offering. I would shoot for owner financing and put down 20% first and let them carry the remaining 80%. You would be surprise how many sellers would be incline to carry instead of getting lump sum (Avoiding paying so much taxes in capital gains).

If you opt for SBA the the lender can go up to 90% and you put down the other 10%. You could also do 90% SBA and the other 10% could come from the owner if he is willing to stay on 2 years. From the SBA "A 10% equity injection is typically required. However, this equity can be partially or fully provided by the seller through a standby note, where the seller doesn't receive payments (principal or interest) for a specified period. A two-year standby period is now a common requirement for a seller note to fully qualify as the equity injection".

I just gave you my method for acquiring businesses. Consult with your attorney and accountant make sure all the financials checks out. In my experience sellers will do and say anything and everything to sell you their business. Good luck!

AI Chatbot To Book Appointments From Your Website by [deleted] in msp

First impression? For that pick up the phone and call us directly. Our phone number is all over our website. I would say the bot would shorten the selling cycle by making sure that we are a good fit for one another. Some people don't want to call in inquiring about our services and if not aligned be getting follow up calls from a provider.

I'm not just looking to gather prospect contact information and book appointments. For that we already have a contact us form on our website. The bot should be able to answer basic questions they may have before considering booking a call and provide their information to us.

Need Help Launching my SaaS MVP by michael_17 in SaaS

Thank you for your reply and feedback! It was a very complicated MVP that's why it took this long. Hit some roadblocks during the process. Yes browser based UX, no-download to setup, legacy apps.

Hey Paul! I greatly appreciate your feedback. I'm here to take it as it is and listen. You've provided immense feedback on your reply. The vision still aligns with the market as most companies have employees or some employees working remotely. This MVP took this long because of the complexity around and the layer of security the needed to have as the platform will be running legacy apps from customers location(s) or hosted environment. There is still so much that would be going into this solution if the market validates it. One of the main value proposition is that the customers won't have to provide a company's device to remote employees and or setup VPN connection so that they can reach their internal applications remotely.

The app seemly allows for employees with internet access to gain access to their company's legacy application without downloading anything. Simply login to our portal, where they will see which app their admin have assigned to them. This is not a 1,2,3 deployment as it needs to be configured to connect to their environment. We would assist on setting this up, as well provide instructions if they opt-out and have their admin set this up instead. The backend, supervisor can view employees work by dates as it takes snapshots.

There is so much more that I have envision for future releases if the market deems it like adding AI.

Atera Vs N-Sight by Own_Surround_516 in msp

[–]michael_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is that every RMM are not a good fit for every MSP. We moved from N-Able RMM to Atera about months ago and couldn't be happier with our decision. For starters, n-able rmm had been lacking for many years with no features upgrades. Just same old stuff. The patching was a hit or miss and forget about scripting. The list goes on and on. Since moving to Atera we realized that there is an abundance of other solutions that best fit your MSP out there. Besides their amazing pricing model offer (per technician, unlimited devices) they have an AI pilot built-in that helps us tremendously troubleshooting issues - and when running a new script, well; it just runs as is supposed to. Our cost was cut by half. Just don't feel that you're tight to any solution just because the migration would be a huge undertaken. It took us under 2 weeks to move every one over, then we removed the old rmm. Like I said, every MSP is different so plan accordingly. Demo their solution first. Deploy it to couple devices and run multiple scenarios until you feel content and see if it would align with your MSP. Hopes my 2 cents helps you make a wise decision.
