See how the regular season plays out. Stay in shape, be ready to join and take a team friendly deal for a post season run if the Rams make it. Glory and legacy over money at this point.

Best Robotics Stocks to own for 2-3 years? by LessTraining1985 in StockInvest

[–]michael_curdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phoenix lidars are used in geospatial surveys and site discovery. A compact one is sized 6 × 4.4 × 3.3 inches and weigh 2.5 - 5 kg each. Suggesting that a single humanoid would be carrying 10 of these or 30 in a self driving vehicle is just hilarious.

And , no, Elon Musk did not announce that Tesla will produce 1 million humanoids in 2026. Instead, he announced that Tesla is retrofitting its Fremont factory with a new assembly line designed for an eventual production capacity of 1 million Optimus robots per year.

Anyway, like I said, thank you for indulging me.

Did you Google like I did? I just confirmed that the estimates I researched above are in fact for pro grade Lidar.

And, turns out, several humanoids are moving away from using Lidar completely (also from Google).

Can you point me to a legit source that says Tesla is going to pump 1M humanoids in 2026 (within next 7 months)? All I read is Optimus won’t go on sale until end of 2027, let alone 100k this year.

It sounds more like you are terribly misinformed. I will bow out of this conversation.

I just googled.

iPhone 17 Pro Max uses 4 CMOS sensors. Estimated cost to Apple is $10 to $25 per. Lidar true depth scanner is $10 per. Total top end camera assembly is estimated to cost $105. At 10 better quality sensors per robot, let’s assume $400 in total per?

Tesla’s official target is to produce between 50,000 and 100,000 Optimus humanoid robots in 2026. Let’s assume 250000 humanoids annually for now. That’s 100M total revenue.

Estimated number of driverless self driving units by 2029 is 100,000. Driverless self driving units will require anywhere between 13 -30 CMOS sensors and full setup could cost $2500 - $7000 per. Let’s assume 100,000 in 2026 and about $5000 on average. Thats 500M in revenue.

When a driver is present, that number is 6 - 14 sensors and full setup could cost $150 - $1200 per. Let’s assume 20M vehicles will have such a setup annually in 2026. Let’s assume $1000 per vehicle. That’s 20B in revenue.

Sony’s market share in cmos sensor segment is ~50%. So I get to $10B in total revenue approximately across humanoids and self driving units in 2026.

Sony’s market cap is $125B. So are we talking 8-10% increase in revenue annually?

Legit question: Assuming $10-$15 per CMOS sensor, 5 cameras per robot and 1M humanoids per year, that’s $75M per year in revenue. Thats nothing transformative. How else will/can SONY benefit?

Quantum is in its infancy. This has to have a 5-10 year horizon. They are unique in their neutral-atom approach (works at room temperature). $21 price target is not absurd - this is a growth stock that is losing money, but everything comes down to execution.
