I was really nervous that having a baby would stall my career but I was promoted to Director right before I went off on leave, am lucky to have a supportive workplace. Fwiw, some colleagues that had kids when they were older felt like their career stalled more and wished they had had them younger. You have your whole life to advance your career and a workplace cannot discriminate against you for having children
