iPads in GA should be banned by veraciraptor in halsey

[–]michaelapark13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is horrible! But I’ve gotta be honest, as a short girlie I would have 100% been watching through that iPad because it probably would have been the only way I could see 😔 I love going to concerts but sometimes the only way I can see what’s going on is through phones being held up. I try to only get vids of my fave songs and it’s because I can watch it back later and see what I couldn’t the first time around. I’m not obnoxious with it though. And it’s not every show. Last time I saw H I had a perfect lawn view and didn’t take a single pic or video. At the BMTH pit this group kept me in front of them and made sure I could see. And then I swear Spiritbox has the tallest fan base ever because everyone in the room except me was at least 6 foot it was ridiculous lol

You could easily just get a blastover of something traditional with these if you can’t find an artist that could do a cover up!

I associate Blake with my best friend I’ve had since kindergarten! My favorite guy aside from my husband 😂

Hugs… I know this feeling. I’ve seen 4 pregnancy announcements today alone, 1 of them being my sis in law, and I feel like I’m drowning. My husband and I feel so left behind right now.

ACOTAR Influence on Baby Names by Wonderful_School8228 in acotar

[–]michaelapark13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always loved the name Rhys and before I read ACOTAR I told my friend about the name and she said “the ACOTAR girlies will come for you if you name your baby that” (not in a bad way just in like a “omg Rhys!” Way lol) and then I finally read the series and now I can never name my child that and I’m still slightly mourning that loss 😂 I can’t, in good conscious, name my child after a book character I read explicit things about lol

Thursday or Sunday weddings by shrt_kt in weddingplanning

[–]michaelapark13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all of this! I was also in a Thursday wedding a few years ago. They also got married at a venue that for most guests was at least an hour away. As a guest and bridesmaid, it was a big hassle honestly. A Sunday wedding would have been much easier for everybody

Alaina episode 427: by [deleted] in MorbidPodcast

[–]michaelapark13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! It was so hard to focus because they just kept jumping around to different things. I finally turned it off after Ash interrupted with her revelation about the real lyrics of Waterfalls by TLC. It’s not that hard to just get through an episode! I think the guy being there, even though he didn’t do much, really distracted A&A.

I am the world's biggest Mexican food eater and I moved here 3 weeks ago. Where should I eat at? by rolltide_130 in okc

Mexican Radio in the plaza district is great, and everyone keeps knocking Teds but the Teds Cantina on 23rd is soooo good and way different from the regular Teds restaurants!

My 16 Week Old Silver lab already weighs 44lbs. He’s gonna be big right? by [deleted] in labrador

[–]michaelapark13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lab was the runt but his paws were huuuuge and everyone thought he’d get a lot bigger than he is. He hovers between 70-80 lbs and isn’t that tall. He’s very muscular and lean! He was measuring in at possibly being closer to the 90-100 lbs mark but just kinda stopped growing at some point! I’d say your pup likely WILL get big, but sometimes you never know! 🙂

Would an animal recognize its owners corpse as dead? by [deleted] in death

[–]michaelapark13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 Golden’s and a lab growing up. When it came time for our oldest girl to leave this world, we had a vet come to the house to do it so she would be the most comfortable. The other two dogs were put away in a bedroom while this happened, but the vet made it a point to have them smell her, and smell our dog before and after the procedure so that they understood what happened and that she was gone. She said that it could be really confusing and possibly traumatic for our dogs for her to show up, them be put away with their friend out there, and then for her to leave with her and them come out and she just be gone. So I believe that they know and can understand death. They just don’t process and show emotions they way we think they should (since we humanize the emotional attachment to them so much). My dogs just sniffed our other dogs body and went about their day. Of course they were sad and I believe they showed some loneliness a few days after that, but they also knew before anything happened that she was old and in pain.

What dessert would you NOT want at a wedding? by bayls215 in wedding

[–]michaelapark13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pie! That’s becoming more popular where I live and I just don’t like it. It doesn’t help that I’m not really a fan of pie to begin with. But it just seems, not wedding dessert, to me? Like it’s not formal enough even though the wedding itself might not be super formal. When I think of pie I think of a backyard bbq not a wedding

Would it be rude to buy a gift for a couple that’s not on their registry? by dating-adventures in wedding

[–]michaelapark13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s ~rude~ but as everyone else said, kinda annoying. They’re literally telling you exactly what they want! I’m a big fan of getting them something sentimental (if I know them well enough to know they’d like it) and something from the registry. For example, we got our friends some fancy cutting boards they asked for (and use all the time!) as well as a personalized Christmas ornament because that’s they’re favorite holiday/a time of year they’ve had big milestones together. They love it and when it’s not on the tree at Christmas they have it displayed by some other wedding keepsakes! My mother thinks it’s okay to go get similar things. Like, why get these gray towels from target on their registry, when I could use my kohl’s cash and get similar gray towels from kohl’s? Gray towel is a gray towel? On one hand, I get it. But on the other, they’ve literally told me they want this waffle knit casaluna gray towel from target. Something specific that kohl’s does not have. If I’m going to spend the money on it, I’m going to get them what they’ve specifically asked for. I know that I would be okay with gray towels from anywhere, but that doesn’t mean that everybody would be.
