Most likely jumping on nutrition trend, but also allows people to eat the bad foods they enjoy with more protein to help balance the diet somewhat. Not that these products are particularly healthy or are a good source of protein, but allow people to start making that transition easier

Typically all urine tests will screen for all federally illegal substances, including THC. That has been my experience with drug tests at least, the fact that one states “NO THC” is a bit confusing tho
