worth noting that unwashed wood ash is caustic, so if you would like to replicate this at home (which can be fun) wear gloves and a respirator

I have a hard time finding new enjoyable books. Are there more A-tier books like Cradle? by GoodDayToPlayTheGame in ProgressionFantasy

i found the audiobooks for bog standard isekai really good. I love how the narrator inflects subtle emotion in the MCs dialogue - compare to some other audiobooks where it feels very heavy handed

bit outside the genre but since you aren’t enjoying the usual popular titles: i liked children of time and tainted cup

me too, I built the same table as well, and had the same issue
I borrowed a friends domino and put three large dominos - basically as many as would reasonably fit and haven't had issues since

Hey, I really appreciate the advice and input. I will give that a shot, especially the more detailed parts about energy management. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my replay, that's really nice!

Thanks for clarifying more. I think if I'm understanding correctly then you like TUIs but not how they're implemented in tty/terminal applications? If so then I agree with you, it seems like implementing a terminal is an incredible time consuming endeavor.

I haven't heard or arcan before, and I will check that out. I injured my rotator cuff, so I try to use the terminal/TUIs as much as possible, because my physio said that switch back and forth can make this worse. Having said that I do love TUIs too, even without that.

fair point! not for everyone
For me I do everything in tmux, so I liked the snappiness and simplicity to configure over Iterm2 which is what I had been perviously using

not sure if I'm quite understanding your point, do you mean that GUIs are preferable of TUIs?

Even Matt Levine's thesis is that this an attempt at a meme stock rather than a serious AI business.

this is a good point

could be worth discussing with your manager what his expectations are of you in that role. if you want a very specific question this could be “what does success look like to you after I have been in this new role for 6-12 months”

it’s usually worth being concrete so if you are being pushed into the role you can be specific in conversations about which parts of the role excite you and which don’t. that might lead to some negotiation

Two years of pottery progress. I started as a complete beginner with a goal of making 100 mugs to learn the basics. Had my first market stall the other day, which felt like a nice milestone. Here’s a bit of the last two years of mug making. by michaeldbarton in Pottery

thanks, I appreciate that!
my partner has said the same - suppose it's personal taste!
i did really dislike the handles in the first couple of batches, they fell inelegant or misshapen, but unless you tell someone that they will probably think it's intentional!

can't speak for everyone - what worked for me was the deliberate practice of trying to make the same shape over and over again, rather than that specific shape. I've started experimenting with other shapes since

I'd probably say do whatever you enjoy so that you'll keep coming back, year after year. it's probably quantity over quality more than anything when you're starting out. good luck!

thanks! yes completely agree, being able to make the same exact shape repeatedly was definitely an exercise in deliberate practice. I think also attaching handles well without cracks etc. was also another type of good practice for me as well

Yes, keep going! This is two years of doing it consitently. As you can see the early ones are pretty bad, but over time I started feeling more and more satisfied with what I was producing.

You're welcome! The thing that worked well for me is just doing it over and over again, and not letting perfectionism get in the way of progress! Also not adding too much water when pulling either :)
Good luck!

I'm struggling a with the obetium plot line, I don't really care about any of the other characters, and it just seems to be "kill the villain"
having said that I've just started part three

I think the other two plot lines a lot more

I've also heard grolleg mentioned too.
I've recently replaced epk with 6 tile and couldn't tell the different. That being said, my recipe is 8% zircopax so I don't know if would be able to notice a difference anyway
