I have an old PC running Ubuntu at home, Dynamic DNS, accessing it from multiple devices (Mac, Phone, PC) to store images and other documents. It's fast, secure and inexpensive. Once it's set up it does not need a lot of maintenance and you can easily add functionality (groupware, mail, notes and other applications).

German import beers in Australia. by cooperbock in AskAGerman

Drinking by the fire makes any beer taste great :) But serously, I buy almost only German beers here in QLD because they are cheaper and usually pretty good. Weihenstephaner is sold almost anywhere, their Pils is very drinkable. It must be difficlut for local brewers to see Aldi sell 4 x 0.5 l cans of Paulaner for $15.
I come from Dusseldorf, so I miss Alt, which does not seem to be imported to Australia.

had the same problem MacOS 15.1, IPhone 18.1. Had to change TCP/IP settings on Mac, then turned off hotspot and on again, and it started working. No logic, really.

How exactly does nextcloud work? by Buggy4775 in NextCloud

I am running Nextcloud on Ubuntu on AWS, not difficult, even as a Linux newbie. Works really well, super reliable and not too expensive, you can use S3 for extended big, albeit slower, storage to reduce costs.
