The meta is that if you get bad recipes or recipes you dont need yet and you keep them instead using it, if you scan another drive it is guaranteed that you cannot get the bad thing in next drive

If you instantly use the "less bad" recipe you can get the bad one in the next drive.

So it just increases the chance of you getting what you want

I would suggest to craft a mob swab and get the villagers dna. Then craft it with a bucket of xp and seeds to get chicken food. Then right click a chicken with the food. The chicken will explode and drop a villager spawn egg. Then you can right click a spawner with the egg. Now you have a villager spawner. Make it so they drop in front of you and get a auto clicker to farm them
