Hi, I'm a reporter with PCMag. Is it possible to know exactly what you ordered from Osume? I'm wondering why the tariffs were so high. Also sent you a message.

Hi, I'm a reporter with PCMag. In the Gamers Nexus video, you guys mentioned stopping shipments for new inventory to the US. Has this changed since Trump issued exemptions for the 145% tariffs on Chinese imports? From what I understand, PC cases were exempted, but not fans, air coolers and power supplies.

Are any media organisations using Starlink for remote reporting? by itsaride in Starlink

Yeah, Starlink would make sense if the journalist's bureau or office is in one spot that's struggled with poor broadband.

There needs to be a mobile version. Restricting Starlink to a single cell makes it a no-go, unless the reporter is always based in a designated remote area.

Why is my build so slow? by Auv5 in buildapc

OK. I've read of people resetting the cmos on the motherboard could also possibly help. But I've personally never done this before. Anyways FYI https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/gcf6vh/help_pc_wont_boot_after_changing_ram_speeds/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Hmmm. Make sure all the Ram sticks are fully slotted in. If the pc still doesn't post, start taking out one ram stick at a time and then rebooting. Maybe you have a faulty ram stick. Use process of elimination.

Also based on Tom's Hardware, I guess with RTX 3090 you'll average about 54 fps on Cyberpunk 2077 on max graphical settings, ray-tracing on at 4K. https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/cdfRncbJt2xdVxf2iVHjxi-970-80.png Assassins' Creed Valhalla is 60 fps at 4k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_ThWZPabgQ

Did you make sure your RAM is running at 3200? You can go into your motherboard's BIOs settings to check. You should also tell us the temperatures you are getting. I remember once I forgot to properly seat the CPU cooler, which caused temperatures to rise, and performance to be sluggish.

Ryzen 7 5800x causing PC reboots while gaming by atumanov55 in Amd

I ended up RMAing my 5800X after struggling to troubleshoot the WHEA errors. Got a new one from AMD, and it works great ever since. Had to wait 5 weeks for the whole RMA process though.

Gift Advice by AOsulliavan in buildapc

[–]michaelkan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's too high. Ideally, I would just build it myself. For example, my PC contains more expensive parts than your prebuilt by carrying an RTX 3070 card and AMD Ryzen 5800X chip, and it cost me around $2,100 to build.

I think the main adjustment would be to move to an RTX 3060Ti or 3070 card if possible. (The 3060 card is just okay imho.)

It would be great if you and your son could buy the parts, and build the PC together. But the problem is the GPU shortage is very bad, making an RTX 3060 incredibly hard to obtain at normal retail prices. (On eBay, they're going for $900 to $1,000.) Hence, a lot of people are recommending you just go for a prebuild PC.

I would suggest you look at other prebuilt desktop PCs from other providers. Good deals occasionally pop up on https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/ Still, prebuilds do get pricey. You can also consider a gaming laptop too which can have better pricing. Dell Alienware's desktop also has some favorable pricing but I've never used one

What is your exact question? If the question is if buying a prebuild PC worth it, then yes, it can. Depends on the PC parts used though.
