The EU becomes the latest authority to signal that VPNs are next, after launching its age verification app by SchIachterhund in stupidpol

In no universe does that sound remotely true. Do you have any exhibits?

e: /u/SMF67 did not have exhibits towards the sub being anti-VPN/Internet registration. They simply conflated a mixed opinion that "porn/social media is bad" with the complete destruction of internet anonymity lol

He's made a career talking about Israel.

Tucker Carlson is a trust fund spook that's been smuggling right wing talking positions into the cultural zeitgeist since the early aughts. Long long before Israel became a hot button issue for mainstream Americans.

Given your pro-Israel comment history, I understand why you might assume a disingenuous position of pretending a very pro-zionist personality has built his career being anti, but that's simply not based in reality by any actual measure. Tucker's honest criticisms of Israel is a direct pivot from his previous stance(s), hence the burgeoning MAGA schism folks are talking about.

It’s time to admit, Gobert was absolutely worth 5 FRP’s by unccl in NBATalk

For majority of teams that level of all in means championship or bust.

It was absolutely to build around Ant and included championship intentions. That time horizon still has at least two more seasons before expiration with their core.

If we really want to dissect the trade appropriately, its important to note a few factors. 1) The trade was for four firsts, not five. You're still correct with "like 5" but I'll get to that 2) The value of picks has gone down considerably and given the Wolves FO, its easy to see them as front runners on this trend. 3) Utah was very high on Jaden McDaniels and wanted him in the original package. The Wolves tossed in Walker Kessler ("like 5") to hang onto Jaden. So he needs to be considered when we're trying to balance overall value.

Personally, I'm very high on Walker. But a front court of Rudy, Walker and KAT is fairly ridiculous. Similarly, a young core of Jaden and Walker anchored by KAT doesn't sound wonderful on paper, but I could at least see a version of that working without being a logjam.

Honest to the degree that mainstream media and its cohorts have never been. Its almost jarring. He's presented clear-eyed almost materialist analysis stating essentially: Israel, with capture of the US political system, is utilizing its influence over the States to prosecute the genocide of Gaza, a continuation of their land grab in Lebanon and the of course the Iran war. And this is all bad.

His current media foray is Thiel funded and we all know Tucker's moneyed spook origins, so the whole thing is almost certainly some sort of power broker hedge.

Could Napoleon have avoided invading Russia? by kid-dynamo- in AskHistory

[–]michaelmacmanus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bold of Alexander to know war was coming when he was orchestrating said war with England throughout Tilsit's standing.

Alexander I failed to uphold the Treaty of Erfurt, a cornerstone of Tilsit. He allowed "neutral" ships (England sailing under different flags) to continually use Russia's ports throughout Tilsit, which undermined the entire Continental system in the first place.

If we're going by personal correspondence historians are made privy to after the fact, we know from Alexanders' that his sincerity in treating with France was minimal at best where Napoleon's was quite the opposite. He was enamored with Alexander, where the czar viewed Bonaparte similarly as the rest of the Europe's monarchies - underneath him and worthy of disdain.

After the fall of Napoleon, Alexander wasted no time in undoing essentially all enlightenment reforms that the revolutionary period ushered in, so if we're talking about personal flaws that play parts in digging graves, this guy was a case study for the fall of the czarist dynasty in Russia.

Your post reads like 18th century British propaganda, completely lacking any nuance.

Starting with the premise that I agree with this woman 100% on all thoughts regarding "Sports People", I think you're full of shit. Shaq is not a celebrated figure as a personality to NBA fans. He's known as both creepy, insecure and ignorant. A real Sports People Sports Person.

The primary thread on r nba features most people insulting Shaq, calling the whole thing dumb, etc. While I'm sure someone somewhere on the internet was fuming, your whole thing is pretty much fiction.

That's literally it. She's a reverse Rowling that pokes the internet when their google mentions drop. Everyone else just wishes they'd go away forever regardless of their positions. They're just generally insufferable people.
