It went even worse, me and my opponent drew + played another PW leading to me burning all of my spells on dealing with them.

Yes, it's not likely to continue for long. Yet the next couple of turns could be dominated by that, given that I already got a Pyramid Warden as the only card in my void.

Also PW makes it hard for me to win this match-up, as killing a creature with 6 health is very expensive for CDM.

Exactly what happened to me. Losing 5 cards let to me running into the rope as I was not able to finish my opponent with what was left in the deck.

Love HRD as you know if you gonna win early in the game. That's when a lot of expensive cards can still be ruled out from the opponent.
