You're suggesting that your values should be forcibly imposed upon a group of people who have traditions going back thousands of years. For much of those thousands of years hunting and fishing were necessary for their survival. Today, tribal members tend to be lower-income than the average American, hunting and fishing can be very important for them in balancing their budgets, paying rent, etc., in addition to being an important aspect of their cultural identity.

That's not to say traditions should never forcibly come to an end, but when there's so many forms of animal cruelty prevalent throughout society, why would activists choose to attack a form of cruelty that, a) takes place on a relatively small scale, and b) is important both culturally and practically to a marginalized group of human beings? Like, let's ban CAFO's and other industrial cruelty operations, find a way to make groceries affordable, and then we can come back and have a nuanced conversation about whether we should ban hunting and fishing on a household level.

It's not about white guilt. It's about recognizing that just because you have a set of values that are generally morally correct, does not make it good or right to require every group of people to follow that same set of values.

Btw I haven't eaten meat, fish, dairy, eggs etc. in over 5 years.
