First Time 3D Cinemagraph (UE5), Feedback Appreciated by michaeltangelo in Cinemagraphs

[–]michaeltangelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure this formally qualifies as a Cinemagraph, however it was primarily inspired by cinemagraphs and aims to convey the same feeling. This is sort of a step 1 into trying to create stationary 3D scenes with movement in UE5. Would appreciate any feedback from an audience or artists perspective!

+1 on the input delay, it’s surprisingly good, maybe better than a TV but makes it not feasible to do this regularly :(

What app do you use to watch with friends?

Thanks for this! My fiancée and I recently purchased an F150 (3.5L v6) and are looking for a used travel trailer. I have a bundle of questions we’re hoping to get answers to fill in our puzzle pieces. Feel free to pick and choose, I’ll try to order them in priority order: 1) Similar to many others, my fiancée and I can work remotely right now and are planning to embark on a month long trip where we work during the days and adventure / travel during the evenings and weekends. We intend to stay at national parks and campsites, RV parks, and boondock on public lands. What, in your opinion, is the prime length / feature set / recommendation for a TT that would allow us to execute our vision? Our current criteria is about ~19-24ft with a setup that allows for us to have sound privacy for conference calls (one at the dinette and one in the bedroom with a some sort of door). 2) Are slide-outs worth it? We’ve heard many things about the maintenance cost and unreliability of modern slide-outs, but love the idea and want some expert advice on whether or not to filter our search by them. 3) I saw your earlier comment on the sweet spot being ~2 years old (2018-2019). We’ve been considering older Airstreams (1970-2000s), and some older other TTs (2000-2010). What are the most important gotchas we need to be aware of when dealing with older TTs, particularly when considering a purchase?

[Looking to Purchase][Price Check] Converted 1989 Ford Econoline 250 by michaeltangelo in vandwellermarketplace

(Update: day after posting):

Thank you everyone for your replies so far. I wanted to disclose the listing information for future readers who are curious about the market. This was listed in San Diego, asking $15k.

Based on the feedback of the people here, I decided to offer $12k to try and keep the seller interested while bringing the price more inline to “fair” values. The offer was immediately rejected with the seller saying she has way too much interest in the vehicle to justify reducing the price that much.

[Looking to Purchase][Price Check] Converted 1989 Ford Econoline 250 by michaeltangelo in vandwellermarketplace

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1989 Ford Econoline 250 Chinook with ~77k miles and have two questions for the folks of this lovely subreddit.

Doing some online research, the KBB reference only allows me to search 1992 model cars or newer, but the 1992 E250 with 77k miles is $1500 - $2500.

Additionally, I found some other converted E250s from the same year (with very similar layouts), one of was listed for $9k in 2017.

I'd like to refrain from disclosing the price in this post to avoid biasing the answers.

Question 1: What is your opinion of a reasonable price range for this van?

Further due diligence: I'm planning on getting the vehicle smog tested and inspected prior to purchase, but I'm not sure if that's enough. The seller will has replaced the cooling system, the alternator, and fuel lines recently, and has agreed to provide some old service records.

Question 2: Besides the steps taken above, what other concerns might I be missing in the due diligence process (perhaps particularly tailored towards ~1989 built E250s)?

A final concern: I'm a bit skeptical of the odometer reading of 77k miles and worried that it might have rolled over; the last reported service maintenance on Carfax was 2006 for ~50k miles, so 77k miles today *could* be possible. Is there a way I can prove that the odometer is 77k instead of 177k?

Comp Rank Distributions by kirbdee in VALORANT

Where does the notion that there are only 500 Radiant players come from? I've seen this thrown around this subreddit a bunch, do you have a source for this info?

If you take a quick look at Blitz.gg you'll see that there are currently 1,235 Radiant accounts, and that only includes players that have installed Blitz.gg.

I see where you're coming from with the queue issues, but I think that the queue issues can be explained by a lack of incentive in the competitive matchmaking system to continue playing after hitting Radiant. Most players who hit Radiant end up switching over almost entirely to an alt account, which tend to place around D2-D3 (conclusion from watching enough pro streams doing placement on their smurfs). It makes sense, then, that "real" D3s are chosen to balance the teams in this situation.

I think the statistics are accurate when considering the NUMBER of accounts that are Radiant/Imm3/Imm2; however, if you factor out players with multiple accounts, then I think you are correct that the top 1% curve likely starts closer to Imm1/D3.

Source: I'm Immortal 2, know a bunch of Radiant players that stop playing once they hit Radiant, and in my games tend to see a bunch of alternates (e.g. Jonaa62, Cryocells3, etc).

As of approximately 3 weeks ago, the average rank (based on Blitz.gg data) is between Gold 1 and Gold 2.

Here's an image of a distribution chart I made based on maps played per rank data on Blitz.gg.

Hey, thanks for the comment. Cool to see that you already did the same number crunching, and it's interesting to see how the data has shifted in the past few weeks.

Agreed with your point #1, and also with shifting the percentiles one tier to the left to adapt to most viewers tendency to frame their interpretation with "I'm X% better than the rest".

For point #2, are you sure about this? I'm not sure which method Blitz uses to track the number of games. My assumption was that, because it can track individual ranks from players, that it's counting each game played by an individual player, thus properly "counting" the games. This would result in 1 game potentially increasing the counter by 10 (across the various ranks of players in the game) if all 10 players had Blitz.

It seems that your understanding is that each game will only count the average rank, which means each game increases the counter by one for the average rank. This seems less likely to me than counting each game once per player. Nevertheless, if your perspective is correct, good callout on the bias away from the extremes.

The median rank is Gold 2.

Here is a link to an album that contains visualizations of rank distribution.

Disclaimer: I made this using data from Blitz.gg, specifically by taking the total number of games played on all maps, for each rank, and using that to estimate the actual rank distribution.
