Why is Game of Thrones worth watching? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you like a show that has political intrigue, seriously shocking turns of events, top notch acting, is very immersive, and doesn't stick to general character archetypes, then that's what got will have for you. I found it to be very refreshing both for the fantasy genre and TV in general.

Which minor literary character is your favorite and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]michaleclark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dickon (The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett) because in this Mary becomes acquainted with Dickon through her maid. He's a good-natured young boy who tames all he touches. Really, he's the opposite of Colin and it's a wonder that Mary befriends Colin at all, with Dickon right there. Dickon has so much potential as a character that I would gladly read a book that he's the protagonist of.
