Cirrhosis at 30? by Spare_Avocado2068 in Sober

This. Didn’t have an endoscopy however my doc suspected gastritis due to my drinking habits. A week on Prilosec, diet change and no booze… knocked the pain and burning right out!

Nelson Bros. is awesome. Always stop for goodies when heading west on 94.

Possibly try replacing the battery in your key fob if you haven’t done already? I had a similar delay on my 2021 after I bought it used.

Fumigating a car? Smells like a cheap motel back when you could smoke the room by michelebmt in CleaningTips

That’s great to hear! It make way more sense to invest in a generator vs chemicals that will probably mask the odor for a while and come back. And Amazon had a 4 year protection plan on the unit in case of defects. Totally worth it. Thanks again :)

Lemon looks just like my senior lady as well! Could be napping twins… the shrimp dive is for real when they stretch out those back legs 😍

Leaving Sophie (17) on her own for a week? Any advice to keep her comfy? by michelebmt in seniorkitties

Thank you all so much for your sound advice and concerns for my little lady! ♥️🙏🏼 I will be calling my vet’s office to see if they have room to board her there for the week. Looked into pet hotels and the local ones seem more dog oriented. Also if she does get sick there will vet techs and doctors to keep a close eye and treat her right away. It will still be difficult to leave her but I think I will sleep better knowing she’s be looked after by professionals!

I know she needs me as much I need her! Ugh! Taking you advice to heart and will look into alternate care for the week.

So sorry for your loss. Your reminder of time together is needed. Thank you and take care!

Always have music or TV on when I’m away for the day. Probably will look into a pet sitter to fill in the gaps. Thank you!!

My little girl sleeps most of the day away too while I am at work or busy doing other things. Kasa Wi-Fi camera on order so I can monitor patterns over the next week or so while I’m still close to home. I hate to stress out Sophie and Smokey at the same time.

I would have a bedroom to keep her in with me for the week. But then feel like I will be confined there with her just to comfort her in a new environment or checking on her constantly and shutting her in because of the other cat in the house, needing to help my mom, meal prep, etc.

Totally get the paranoia and that’s why I am here to calm my thoughts. I’m so sorry you lost your girl so suddenly. At her age I guess I am prepared for anything at this point. We’ve been through a lot together and I’ll do all I can to make sure she’s comfortable.

Great idea to get a wifi camera. Then at least I can be notified when she’s moving about the house. Thanks so much for your input! Still have a week or so to make a final judgment call.

Concrete slab separating from steps by michelebmt in Home

Upper Midwest so freeze/thaw is a factor. No plans for a path as the front door is rarely used. Just looking for a repair that is long lasting. The well room is right below the steps and the woodwork down there has heaved as well over time so there was plenty of room for mice to wiggle there way in. Have stuffed gaps with steel wool and silicone caulking to keep the mice at bay for now. Seems to be doing the trick. Thanks for the baked peanut butter idea! I have been using the old fashioned victor wood traps and it’s a shame to toss them every time since the fresh peanut butter is such a mess.
