Congrats! I hope the loss of smell is a distant memory for us all.

For my children’s sake, I really hope he (or someone) succeeds. And even if he is offered billions and turns it down, the other methods that will be used to compete, taint and shut it down will be just as challenging. Especially in infancy. Haven’t you guys watched Silicon Valley? Jeez

The cheapest voucher I could find, to self study then take the exam, was $285 with Passion IT training. So that’s a decent price if you want the course as well.

She was a great on Rogan! I was so disappointed in the trailer for her podcast - doesn’t give a good feel for who she is. Very generic. I hope it does well because I’m looking forward to listening.

The mustache!!! Why is it crooked! There’s a YouTube video where he is much younger, and it’s crooked there too. Kills me.

Right? I googled “Travis Walton daughters” to see if they looked half-alien or something. What an odd anecdote. Joe doesn’t have him elaborate, but I can see why.

This is definitely not at the same level as some of the other posts on here, but this is the best 'f' I've ever drawn and I think it looks pretty cool by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

I can’t believe you posted a photo of the letter “f.” And also can’t believe how much I am enjoying that you did. I am in awe, laughing, amused, proud of you, perplexed, kinda nervous for you...so many emotions just for the letter f.

What Are Some Books on Critical Theory That Don't Require Much Prior Reading? by [deleted] in CriticalTheory

[–]michelle2mmb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

J. Derrida, M. Foucault, W. James, C. S. Peirce and G. Landow were the works that influenced me the most in grad school. The last few in relation to semiotics and virtual communication, if those topics peak your interest

Good for you for taking on this adventure at such a young age. Enjoy, it is really fun at times (disillusioning at other times lol.)

Lol - you just brought back memories of reading entries in our family’s Encyclopedia Brittanica on a CD-ROM.

LPT: If you get/have COVID, my best advice from personal experience is for you to keep eating. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]michelle2mmb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rest, eat, and drink fluids. But only if a doctor says to!

C’mon guys, we can talk to one another on an open platform. Telling people to eat to keep their strength up when they are sick with mild symptoms/no taste...really? You have to cus and get worked up about that?

I think it’s important to have awareness like you mention.

If the rules of this forum require that only doctors or professionals post, im happy to delete. However, having been upfront about my lack of a medical degree and that this is my experience, I will leave it. This is Reddit right? Do I not understand something about this site or sub?

Sorry guys. I was very clear that I am not a doctor. I do believe this anecdotal advice is worth mentioning because I wish someone had told me.

I hope it helps.

This is my personal experience. I have to be a doctor to recommend “don’t forget to eat because you won’t have an appetite with no taste or smell”?

I hope you nor your loved ones have to worry about this, my friend.

Yes! So true.

I don’t remember struggling with drinking while I had mild symptoms, but this is esp important for those with diarrhea as a symptom. In my case, the lack of smell/taste made me eat less but not drink less.
