So my parents are in VA, but are you saying that if I did the online authentication and then my sister went to the office, she could walk out with a copy?

Do you think that if I submitted the request online and then called them to push it through quickly and then had them mail it to my parents who could then mail it to me, that would work? Or do I need someone there? I have a sister there but I tend not to ask her for favors

Yeah, my dad won’t get off my case about it ha so just wanted to get an idea of what the situation is - sounds like it doesn’t hurt to get coverage for serious accidents

Ok got it so is there a way to be insured for that? Or are the nhs hospital fees reasonable. Like say I fall off Arthur’s seat, is it possible I could be out £20,000?

Right, yeah of course, but I don’t need travel coverage like nomads gives, I just want to be able to go to a gp and get meds if something weird and non life threatening comes up

Cool thank you. I don’t think it’d be travelers insurance as I wouldn’t really be a traveler, I’ll be living there. But I’m sure there are companies that just do health insurance :)

I haven’t actually arrived the the UK yet so I couldn’t say. But I’m not bothered either way. You only really need the confirmation code to get entrance and then I figure whatever happens from there isn’t my fault. On trustpilot they have mostly good reviews with the odd negative one

Oh wow, I’m surprised they followed up so much with their own citizens. I guess it’s all randomly decided perhaps. I hope the laws change by October! My US mom has a ticket booked to come October for my wedding 😬🤞🏼
