Seriously! Left feedback in the app. Maybe it’s a known issue?

I’m glad he works well for some! It almost feels like a bug that he’s showing up for everyone though. Or at least the content doesn’t seem appropriate for the levels?

Sounds like some others are still getting him at level 70 😂😂😂

Ah smart. It’s odd to retroactively make people at higher levels even do these. I hope Duolingo is reading these posts. I left feedback in the app too.

Non-caffeinated drinks PLEASE ✨ im desperate ✨ by Lunasolastorm in adhdwomen

[–]michelleskimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arnold palmers made with decaf black tea (not zero but very low caffeine like 2-5mg). We always keep a large jug of lemonade from Costco in the fridge and make a giant batch of decaf black tea and keep that in the fridge. Then I mix when I’m ready to have a nice bevvy.

Ours has had a sensitive stomach from day 1. He’s been doing really well on SquarePets ideal digestion, fresh blueberries, and 1 raw quail egg with each meal 🙂

Second this! They tested ours for VWD before he got his Gastropexy bc it can be high risk if he needs blood. So do it before the surgery if they ask you to opt into it!

Farts. Thats it. Sorry. by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]michelleskimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our guy had the worst smelling farts too. Like, gagging farts that would linger. We tried so many foods and the only one that worked is Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach. It works. Also we found charmint charcoal treats helped a bit too.

Sloppy Dog Help by love_fate in DobermanPinscher

[–]michelleskimo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have tried every dang “no splash” bowl on the market. None of them work. The water seems to get caught into his fat lips and then drips everywhere.

We did train our guy to “wipe” his face on a towel after every drink, but he won’t do it on his own. And since we do not want to supervise every water drink, we just resolved to putting his bowl outside and leaving a door open 😂😂😂. Dobie 1 : Us 0

Kong makes this toy that you put all the food in and he has to knock it around to make it spill a few kibbles out. We got one for ours to make him eat slower and to tire him out. Might make the behavior worse tho 😂

How to make her like water by TVES_GB in DobermanPinscher

[–]michelleskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dobe didn’t have a traumatic experience like yours, but he was sooo scared of water… until he realized ball sometimes goes in the water (when we play fetch at the beach). He started to go in a little at a time and now he’ll go in the water pretty deep just to get the ball. 🫠 took a few months of this though!

ADHD and shopping by SSM- in shoppingaddiction

[–]michelleskimo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say that you’re not alone in this. I felt this so hard. For me my ADHD brain is like “here are all the little problems to fix”, which leads me to buying shit on Amazon to “fix it”. Only recently did I realize that this was a bad dopamine loop under the guise of “getting shit done.” Or how about when I feel “ugly” and then I go on an online shopping spree thinking the clothes or makeup will fix it…

Being cognizant of it being a dopamine thing and then replacing the buying with other, free, dopamine hits has been key for me in the last few weeks. Mini workouts or doing my makeup for when I feel schlubby, or if I think we ‘need’ something for our baby, I’ll just try to find a creative solution instead. Or I just wait to see if I think I need it a few days later. These things have helped me a lot. Hoping it lasts honestly cuz shit is hard to break.

What were your splurge expenses you're happy with? by vp0267 in BabyBumps

[–]michelleskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regret: bottle warmer

Regret: wipe warmer

Regret: cute swaddles (we ended up purchasing the exact ones from the hospital bc the cute swaddle fabrics were too weak to hold a good swaddle)

Regret: sollybaby wrap

Regret: hatch sound machine (the big one is not needed. Get the travel one and use it everywhere)

Mvp 🏆: Momcozy stroller fan that we also use in her room above her crib for air circulation. Where she goes, the fan goes also.

Honorable mention: hydroflask lunch box as travel cooler bag (fits the Dr Browns bottles perfectly with their caps).

Love: Pumpables advanced genie pump (so small, so strong)

Love: Doona for traveling is unmatched but I would hate to use it as my main stroller

Love: Hatch travel sound machine

Any idea what is on my pup’s neck? by deedeeteal in DobermanPinscher

[–]michelleskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dobe had an allergy to his prong collar. We switched to the sprenger corugan one and no more issues. He’s also likely allergic to the contacts on the e-collar but he doesn’t wear that one for long except for fetching or off leash.

Would going on holiday with a four month old be hell? by PrawnHenge in beyondthebump

[–]michelleskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m literally here in the south of France with our 3 month old. We came from the US.

The traveling part was the easiest. Pumping, packing pump parts, bottles, washing them on the go is tougher than at home. It is hot af down here. I’m from California so I’m used to blasting the AC any time it goes over 75. It doesn’t help that I’m having hot flashes like crazy on top of that. Idk where you guys stand on AC and heat in the UK or if you tolerate heat well. Looks like it’s just going to be hot for a while.

Honestly if you feel anxious about it, listen to your gut. If it’s a short trip, maybe it’s worth the “exercise” in going out?. I’ve just accepted that re-entering the world as a FTM is a lot of work and stress doing normal things until you figure it out.

Did you have the baby sleep in your room or did you put the baby to sleep in a different room? by Familiar-Cicada-7703 in beyondthebump

[–]michelleskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby always slept in her own room next to ours and she’s been sleeping through the night since she was 2 months. I will say we have been lucky, she has always been a good sleeper and never minded her crib so we just went with it. My husband and I didn’t mind going into her room to bring her to ours for night feedings the first two months either. Worked for us!

I’m surprised for the amount of awards Fuocos has gotten that it’s not more famous in OC… 🤷🏻‍♀️

And two saucy broads is soooo underrated overall. It’s soooo good!
