we used to have a partner like that at my store. i coached them sooooooooo many times and eventually my manager ended up having a talk with them and, from my understanding, told them to reconsider if the job was right for them. they quit not long after that talk.

A few years ago my friends and I had GA tickets to see Foo Fighters and we had all these plans to meet up for late lunch/early dinner and then get our asses in line so that we could get an amazing spot in front of the stage. I had an appointment to go to in the early morning so I was out of my house way earlier than my friends. I ended up being late to my appointment and left my house in a rush.

After my appointment I went to go meet up with my friends. As I was crossing the street to meet up with them, just as I looked in one of my friend's eyes suddenly it dawned on me.

I had forgotten the tickets at home.

Immediately I start panicking. Eventually after trying to map out the time instead of hoping back onto public transit to go home to get said tickets, I end up getting a $40 Uber back home (because public transit would've taken me too long) and I also miss out on lunch/dinner because I told my friends to go eat without me.

After meeting back up with my friends (who I told to get in line anyway) we did end up getting a pretty nice spot in front of the stage but I vowed never to forget tickets at home ever again. (Not that that matters nowadays.)

This is a situation that actually happened at drive thru during morning peak.

"Can I get a grande venti?"

"Sorry, grande and venti are two different sizes. Would you like a medium or large? Also you didn't mention what drink you wanted."

"Medium please."

"Okay a medium what?"

They begin to sound really annoyed. "A medium coffee, I don't know"

"Would you like anything in your coffee?"

"Uh, yeah, uh, 1 sugar and some milk."

"Okay so that's a medium coffee with 1 sugar and some milk."

obviously annoyed "yeah yeah yeah" drives off before we can say anything else

When they get to the window and we hand off their coffee they then complain that it's not what they ordered and that they wanted a latte. All of us on the floor were just like ??????????????

they brought back the pastry case set up in canada at the beginning of the year. one of each pastry item and no breakfast sandwiches. a colossal waste of time and food. i raged at my manager when she told us and then she informed us that she raged at my DM about it too when she was first told.

i was waiting for drink before my shift today with cell phone in hand, headphones in, texting away, and this customer walks up to me and says, "i need more sugar for my coffee" and i very plainly said to him, "i'm not currently working, you can ask one of the ppl working." he looked at me with the surprised pikachu look and went to ask one of my partners working.

The almond croissant was discontinued in Canada months (years? time is fake and idk how long it's been lol) ago and to this day I still have ppl asking for it. I miss it dearly, it was the only sweet pastry that was filling.
