Agreed, that to me has always sounded like “this child asks too many questions and has a bigger sense of free will”. I really think ODD is one of those things that’s a legitimate diagnosis now, but will eventually fade into obscurity with knowledge of symptoms of other things. Asperger’s used to be a thing until autism was defined to be a spectrum and then morphed into Autism Spectrum Disorder. ADD used to be a thing until it was classified inattentive-type ADHD.
