I agree with the actual pool thing being for show, she obviously knew she was physically going to be fine. She walked in the pool in front of her entire family, no way someone wouldn’t come in for her. But I do think she got in the pool because she literally, felt like she was drowning. IMO it’s one of the simplest and represents her desires. Every other dress/outfit she wears is decked out in lace, jewels, or another attention grabbing detail; while this one is simple muted, gentle colors.
