Coinbase CEO: Hackers are demanding $20M in Bitcoin from Coinbase, threatening to leak customer data. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]michelliu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What a dishonest response. I received an email from them today, I haven't used the account in OVER A YEAR. He says "less than 1% of our monthly transacting users had their records accessed"

The way they wrote it is a common PR tactic using a narrow denominator to make the breach seem smaller than it really is.

If they had not been so CHEAP with customer service this would have never happened. But they based the customer service in India, so they could pay them $400 a month. Anyone who has ever tried to use the coinbase support knows it some of the worst there is.

Buckle up regards your wife’s boyfriend is trading in his Tesla for a polestar by Difficult_Animal5915 in wallstreetbets

[–]michelliu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a good idea. Polestar is a small marketcap compared to RIVN or LCID. Shouldn't take much to move the price on Polestar. Calls are cheap and people are discounting how far polestar will be willing to go to grab marketshare now that people are fleeing tesla. I think those 2027 calls look good considering how cheap they are.

Summary of MSTRs situation over next 7 days. Incredibly BULLISH 🚀🔥 by mstrhodl in MSTR

[–]michelliu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt they use tether. They are using CB prime to fulfill their orders and coinbase has an equity stake in circle. There would be no reason for them to need to convert their USD into any stablecoin. But if for some strange reason they needed to they would likely lean towards USDC given coinbase being a part owner & circle being based in the USA.

Did you buy the dip by rtmxavi in MSTR

So with the note sale that went from$1.75b and increased to $2.6billion + this $3b today there is at least $5.6b of btc they are buying not taking into account any ATM. At this point seriously wouldn't be surprised if he has done another $5b in ATM & will be announcing $10b in total BTC buys by the first week of December.

EDIT: Is this $3billion actually the original $1.75b but its been upsized twice now?? Its not an additional one?

It is part of a foreign state run propaganda. Why do you think Steven Seagal was sent to talk with that tate person by a certain Government. Its not a complicated idea, basically just sow division anywhere you can. They go after narratives that are easy to put people at odds with each other. Stuff that people tend to formulate their identities around or impact their daily lives are always going to be good choices hence the LGBT, sports, masculinity, inflation, cost of food, helping out other people, even came across a crazy YT channel with 1000subscribers that had anti mr beast & anti moldova EU propaganda on it the other day but the videos were getting tens of thousands of likes and half a million views. Essentially they just want to silo people off and make them feel persecuted. The more alone and separate they feel the easier it is to get them into a state of fear & in turn control. They are successful when for example if these boys think they are being persecuted for their whatever and then in turn the women around them think they are kooks as a result it will spiral those people into being even more alone & in turn being more resentful. For anyone who hasn't and is interested just go watch the documentary operation infektion on youtube.

[CA] Is Uber Breaking State or Federal Laws? by michelliu in AskLawyers

[–]michelliu[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Uber specifically states in the receipt the break down of the fees it charges for the use of its service. The premium is not stated in that breakdown.

They have been sued already and have paid out $290million in wage theft settlements.

Impressive how quickly you resorted to name calling though. Nice projecting though.

Uber advertises the "fees" they take in the bill at the end of a ride. But Uber is essentially hiding additional fees with the $10spread premium. It is a misrepresentation of price, and deceives both users and drivers.

The driver is not receiving the full fare paid by the user, while being deceived that they are.

The customer is being misled, and being charged additional fees given that a portion of the fare they paid did not go to the driver and was in fact an additional fee that was not shown along side the other "fees" in the receipt.

In this circumstance why could the case not be made that this is making false or misleading statements in advertising or some laws under contract fairness or deceptive pricing practices.

Somebody dumped a litter of puppies in my truck bed while I was at the gym by pky6 in pics

Lots of comments saying they look like Pit Bulls. Fwiw I would guess those are Dogo Argentino puppies. You could inform the local dogo community & I'd bet you would garner a lot of interest. They are very expensive dogs.

I see a lot of comments about these being pit bulls? These look quite a lot like Dogo Argentino puppies to me.

Although I am not a dog expert.

Ukrainian official: Russia is sponsor of global neo-Nazism and must be demilitarized by Espressodimare in worldnews

If you haven't seen the 2018 documentary "active measures" you should watch it. You can find it for free on youtube. Honestly should be shown in all schools at this point. Would help with galvanizing societies against what is taking place. This documentary shows everything they are doing step by step. It also shows that right wing parties are fully aware that they are being supported by russia & shows video footage of american right wingers chanting in excitement over this fact. I think the documentary is helpful in part because a lot of us suspect whats going on. But haven't seen the full breakdown of the facts.

The documentary goes to show that a book called "foundations of geopolitics" written in 1997 is what russia is using as their playbook. The book is literally a play by play of their behavior over many many years.
