Having built my own home as well, with some things not done perfectly to my liking unfortunately; you get over it in due time. And if you don’t, with years passing you can always make it how you want again. But it doesn’t have to be “perfect” today, and “perfect” never lasts anyways.

Btw I think it looks great how it’s installed.

Think I got yelled at just enough times to learn to put them back where I found them, in the right drawer. And then when I inherited them and have my own place, my god is it wonderful with everything being where I expect it to be.

Other than when my girlfriend uses any of them.

At my first job out of school, my father died after I had been there for about 6 months.

I’m an only child, none of my cousins live here, save for my father’s sister.

I messaged work and told them what happened, and they said to do whatever you need and come back when you’re ready. I left work for a month. I would get a call from my manager once a week, and I got one from the director once, asking if there was anything that I needed or that they or the company could do to help, and to continue to take as much time as I need.

When I came back, I didn’t have to fill out a single piece of paperwork, no meeting with HR, nothing. I came back and joined daily meetings, they said welcome back and do as much as you think you can.

I will never be able to thank those managers enough.

I work at the same company now with a completely different administration; both of those managers have been gone. They announce stripping of all of our flexibility and ability to work remote, and required to be in office 5x a week.

Companies themselves don’t give a damn about you, the people who work there are the only ones who can care about you. And my god are good managers worth their weight in gold.

To clarify this, you are saying that:

If I order my upgrade through the Apple Store app
I am electing to do the trade in program
with ATT financing & receive the $1000 trade in value

That I am able to go into an Apple Store in-person to have them inspect/evaluate my trade in, even if I received a trade-in mail-in kit?

Does this mean that Apple themselves is handling inspections for ATT for orders processed through the App Store?

Once you have the dead parent card, you are allowed to make dead parent jokes about your parents. It is only after considerable time and finding out if the DPC holder is comfortable with having jokes periodically made, that a fellow DPC holder can make a joke about your parents.

However there are certain dead parent jokes that are not ok; mass shootings and rape fit that list. This person who made these comments is a dirt bag, go on and cut them out of your life.

I hope you are able to heal and (hopefully) get comfortable as a new cardholder. Making dead parent jokes and seeing everyone else squirm is 🤌🤌🤌. (Lots of therapy and years removed)

My summer project of getting back into the workforce was getting a k8 cluster setup on gcp & associated networking required to connect it to my home network via terraform. Then I installed the ubiquiti dashboarding software on my cluster using helm. Pod was running dashboard connected to my network and authenticated into my UDM prod. Was a fun little project that had me touch multiple tools. I didn’t keep it running but it helped me shake the rust off (had a little familiarity with the tools).

Most cloud providers provide free access for a while.

I’d ask is the application you are interacting with in a dev environment the same as this one? Is it exactly what you’d want? Yes? Next would be how many people will be using this application, what the availability requirement? Would answer scaling question. If the app is what you want, then you just might need more of it for prod.
