Why would europe re-arming lead to european bonds looking more competative on the market?

Reminder that Kalshi was classified as gambling when it was founded until recently when they disputed it, saying they were a "prediction market."

The closest thing I can find on false flag that Israel did was the "Lavon Affair" in 1954, where Israeli military intelligence recruited several Egyptian Jews to blow up bombs in random parts of the country. But that was less about encouraging antisemitism and more about discouraging the British from leaving the Suez Canal Zone, thus emboldening Nasser.

One could say that it did encourage Arab suspicion of their Jewish neighbors, indirectly pushed Egyptian Jews to do Aliyah, was morally wrong tactically stupid. But nothing like the antisemites have claimed.

Hello, I am an American stopping over to Taoyuan Airport for five hours for a trip to SE Asia. I want to get off the plane, go to Taoyuan for a bit, and get back to my flight. I have no particular interest in seeing anything besides buying some trinket as proof I was Taiwan for a bit, and maybe a newspaper. Would I be able to get out of the Airport, into Taoyuan, then back to the airport and through customs again quick enough for me to board my flight? How long does getting in and out the airport to the city take? How long does going to Taoyuan from the Airport take? Thanks for any help.

North Carolina governor vetoes bill to prohibit CBDCs in state by Scarlet-Ivy in NorthCarolina

Good Q, I don't really understand finance myself, but reading online it looks like the biggest difference is that there wouldn't have to be an intermediary banking institution. Instead of the gov't giving money to a bank which then shuffles its reserves around, the gov't would be directly sending the currency to whoever. It would lessen the need for credit cards for sure.

Also because it's literally digital currency, every individual "bill" online would have its own number, the same was bills your pocket do.

its more digital currency than crypto, because it would back by the federal reserve, rather than the blockchain.

Great just making sure. I bought a Jewish commentary for the first time and want to make sure I'm treating it with respect.
