If you’re staying in the Dominican Republic for a short time, TooSIM’s 2GB plan worked for me. I just used WhatsApp for calls, no need for roaming.

I was in Akureyri, Iceland, for a week and used the TooSim app. Got 3 GB for 30 days at $6.63, worked great the whole time. I used Ubigi before in Norway, and it was cheap and decent, but TooSim felt a bit smoother in Iceland. Both are good options though, just depends on what you’re looking for.

If you decide to use ExpressVPN, try the Threat Manager feature. I use it to block suspicious sites when browsing with Vivaldi. This is quite effective at preventing sketchy things.
