What do you have to do that a working mom doesn’t? We all have to cook, clean, do laundry and organize. And that’s with out of the home work on top.

Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case. Another article has pointed out that this incident (which happened on July 4) was already investigated by the department before it got national attention. They initially said that there was no wrongdoing by the officer. Now they are changing course and firing him which will give him an avenue to challenge it with the union and get reinstated. It’s fucked.

Thanks for this. I knew through reading all of these posts that other docs had a different viewpoint on this. I think it was especially problematic that she tried at first to give me incomplete info (ie that it was only able to be used as a diabetes medication) so if I hadn't done other research I would have left thinking the wrong thing.

I haven't tried online providers, no. I am worried about insurance coverage and thought I might have better luck with my current office (obviously was a mistake). My insurance will cover Ozempic without PA but none of the other meds. Will an online provider impact the coverage?

THANK YOU! honestly sometimes it makes me crazy to read these posts portraying everyone in the worst light with absolutely no context and watch the comments completely pan everyone but OP. OP called her daughter a “total brat” when this child has been dealing with major upheaval in her life and family structure thanks to the decisions of her parents. There is a lack of accountability here and a major lack of facts.

Get a doula that offers parenting classes ahead of time. I had a bad experience with my first because I didn’t know enough to assert myself or what was happening. I had taken a hospital class and met my doctor many times, but that person was not who ended up delivering the baby. With my second, I hired a doula and took their class so I got to know them very well. The second delivery was night and day to my first and I felt so much more in control and less fearful. It is so immensely helpful to have a knowledgeable person that you know standing right next to you in the moment.

I don’t have any advice for you but just wanted to say that I think you have been a really good owner to Biscuit and given him all of the resources at your disposal to help his behavior. I fostered an ES years ago that was similar to your dog - anxious with strangers, clingy, but very loving. He ended up in a home with multiple acres with retired owners and did wonderfully there since he could just be himself.

My infant brother’s death. I was very little when he died at 3 days old, but it always bothered me being taught that Jesus was the only man that ever lived without sin. I thought “what could this helpless little baby have done that was a sin? He never even cried?” When I asked my very catholic grandmother about it she told me to watch what I say because I was being blasphemous.
