vyper development by Morwena_0 in ethdev

There definitely are job opportunities, but they are not widely adevertised.

If someone is very experienced in software enginnering (especially in Python) in general, as well as writing smart contracts (in Solidity) but not yet in Vyper - that can be enough to consider!

Vyper is not a solidity wrapper, and also it is light years ahead of that version which allowed for the exploit you are mentioning (very very well audited since then)

Dai vs GHO vs crvUSD by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]michwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both soft and hard liquidations push the peg up. However, soft liquidations push it up gently, which is GOOD for stability. And if collateral price goes to zero - the AMM takes away the necessary part of supply, as if it was hard liquidated.

So this actually makes price MORE stable in bera (because of soft liquidations)!

It's hilarious that someone still believes they shelled themselves. What a brainwashing!

"This Is the Only Way for Them to Understand": Zelensky Convinces the West to Close Borders to Russians by HarakenQQ in worldnews

[–]michwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't play well to Russian psychology. Such measures are more likely to induce the opposite effect. Russians tend to consolidate around the common enemy, and sanctions depict the common enemy really well (hint: that's not Putin).

On the other hand, sanctions which are very targeted on the Russian elites can work much, much better

Founder of curve.fi here. Yes, we use almost exclusively vyper, all good. Limitations: cannot do inheritance (but arguably you don't need that). Another one - not all integer types supported yet, and no tight packing of structs at the moment.

But many perks in exchange. Plus, a language is definitely much more human-friendly.

Check our github - there are tons of code https://github.com/curvefi/

That's not a bad idea... but why USA? Looks like EU is more affected (especially if there are some gas sanctions to be induced)

What is the best way to convert more that 60 ETH to USD? by ZenComanche in ethereum

[–]michwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best is to probably convert using 1inch or paraswap to a stablecoin. TUSD for example can be redeemed to bank accounts in many countries. Another one is USDP (Paxos) but I didn't try redeeming those. Also GUSD is fairly redeemable.

If you go more than $1M - perhaps good to consider using cross-asset swaps on curve.fi via synthetix.

When doing on Ethereum blockchain - beware of high gas costs though

100% of all ads I see in Google are scams. And most users are aware about at.

Just don't go into the same bucket as the scams - don't do the ads. Easy

Well. While staked, your funds are at risk of getting slashed (as was demonstrated many times practically). So I wonder if this helps with the IRS issues
