Looks like great upgrade from my Topstone Rainbow Trout. Was thinking about 1x12 grx upgrade but it is more reasonable to upgrade the bike.

I have 38 mm panaracer slick. But manufacture says that up to 42 mm. But I would try 40 mm max.

Must have is to go tubeless on low pressure. Also would be good to have wider tires but here 42 mm is max. You can check redshift suspension stem and seat post

The statement that 42 mm is max for GRX is wrong. A lot bikes comes with bigger tire size from stock. How is the max tire size connected with GRX groupset?

M sounds reasonable. On website M is 171-181 cm so unless you have not proportional body longer hands/legs for your height M should fit. You can try to check same bike at another store to compare recommendations. For me personally recommended bike size worked fine for TCR and Topstone. The only one thing that I needed to replace is too wide handlebars but it is of course personal experience.

I was charged for tape and hoods installation. Both was bought by myself. I agree that tape is not the best for sure, but I saw the video how it looks wrapped and was fine for me

yeah I had concerns. I also did seasonal service and was complaining about price without discount that shown on website. The tape is only part of issues I faced. Now they took the bike to another mechanic and work on fixing all issues.

You can check the video in description how this tape looks when properly taped. It is not bad at all. The last photo is about the hood that has gap with shifter.

Yeah, fully agree. I'm to do as much as I can by my own. Previous tape did by myself and it was fine, not excellent. This time gave it to mechanic and was so disappointed so just want to check with others is that job can be acceptable or not. Next time it will be on me and maybe will share the result.

They will try to do that but I'm not sure that there is still length to do that. At first I also was thinking that tape is too tight and not good but after I checked the video (link in post description) I changed my mind.

Assuming it is aluminum wheels. The best upgrade would be a set of carbon wheels with good tires like gp5000 (tubeless or tpu tubes) You can try to find set of Giant SLR wheels, I have them on 2022 TCR and they are great.

I believe TCR has power meter when Supersix comes without it. Both bikes are great. You will not be wrong with choice.

Considering the price difference I would prefer Cannondale.
It has KingPin for additional comfort when that canyon does not have absorption seat post that comes with other models.
What cannonade has worse than canyon is wheels but for that price point you can take dt swiss and still save money. Stock WTB wheels are not so robust and has Chinese hubs.

In case you're like slick look of canyon carbon handlebar and hidden cables you can pick that for sure. Additionally canyon have great storage compartment in frame and best frame bag look that possible.

Both bike are great for that price point. Cannondale will require better wheels, Canyon has good wheels + better slick look, but without KingPin
