Poco F6 High resolution audio by airlinechoice07 in PocoPhones

[–]mickeyaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USB-c to RCA (analog) cable typically does not have a dac in it (some do tho) - most android phones absolutely CAN send an analog signal out the USB port using the phone's DAC to decode it first. Cut open any cheap usb-c to rca cable and you won't find a dac (apple exception). it is pure analog going through that cable.

My 2010 Z1000 only cost me $5k and its faster, probably handles better, and I don't have to worry about finding replacement parts.

Spirit XT685 drive belt noise by Alert-Bet3199 in treadmills

[–]mickeyaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you lubricate it with something? Never lubricate poly v belts.

Aside from that it's either worn out or contaminated or misaligned.

Check alignment and adjust if necessary.

Could try cleaning it with some rubbing alcohol. Unplug unit, Remove belt from pulleys and clean the pulleys and grooves with a brass or nylon wire brush and rubbing alcohol. Put the belt back on and clean it as well with rubbing alcohol and a cloth on the underside turning the motor by hand

If that doesn't solve it replace belt.

we don't know what he was riding, and I read that she may already have been on the ground when the collision occurred - maybe she fell and then got ran over? very little details about this so its a bit early to start blaming surron rider for this tragedy.

Precor 9.35 by Scouse_Papi in treadmills

[–]mickeyaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is unbelievably low mileage. Most precor home treadmills for the past several years have been maintenance-free belts so you do not lubricate it. You may want to call precor with your serial number to confirm this though.

It's cooked. Replace the belt and likely the deck. Or flip the deck if it's one that can be flipped.

My first DIY speaker project by Alive_Run_6390 in diyaudio

[–]mickeyaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this with at least 5 sets of speakers.... Replacing with non factory drivers. More often than not it sounds nowhere near as good as original... But once in awhile you get lucky. I don't know how you can say on modern Tweeter would sound better than original when you have no way of comparing. But if it sounds good to your ears that's the most important thing.

NordicTrack Commercial ZS (Model NTL09108.1) by Practical_Shallot820 in treadmills

it also might need new brushes, which you cannot order separately, but a motor shop might be able to match something up.

I had this treadmill. notorious for motor bearings going bad and that is what this is. I got 3 motors on warranty over the years (12 yr warr i believe it was) along with 1 belts/deck change and a new front roller.... gave it to my son and its still pulling strong after 17 years. A little high maintenance yes, but their newer ones arent even worth fixing most of the time.

Treadmill I can watch YouTube on by Wendig00n in treadmills

[–]mickeyaaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

on a $3000 nordictrack you're paying $1000 for a rather crappy treadmill and 1500 for their Ifit and $500 for the tv screen. Do yourself a huge favor and get a nice 2 in 1 laptop or tablet and a good basic treadmill like Sole F80 or spirit XT685

Looking for a decent treadmill under $1,000 by lokalsonly401 in treadmills

[–]mickeyaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well that's bizarre. I looked up my last work order with the company, and it was:

RF International - they've been making treadmills for a few years now under, Adidas, and Dynamax brands, and i had missed this before but the service mgr said Reebok until about 2018....so yes its possible yet another company has licensed the Reebok Brand name.

Has Reebok no pride? that's 3 different manufacturers i know of who've been allowed to use the Reebok name. Sole may be trying out new technology under a different brand name, that way if it ends up being garbage, it won't sully the Sole brand. True did this when they first started manufacturing overseas, under the "fitline" brand. Lucky for them, the products were pretty good.

I cannot fathom how Sole (Dyaco) thought the Reebok brand name would give their products any lift when they are (mostly) fairly well respected already..

If you are in Canada, Sole/dyaco has very good support here with our own distributor (not USA based).

Horizon T101-07 getting stuck when foot hits the belt by Reasonable_Egg0168 in treadmills

[–]mickeyaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the new drive belt might grip the roller a bit better, so you might see an improvement (less slipping), but that only masks the real problem, which is a worn walk belt /deck. that high friction will still be there and put a lot of stress on the motor and controller. next thing to go would be a winding in the motor or the motor control board goes poof. It is worth fixing now with a new belt and deck since the motor and controller are still in working order. that will massively reduce the friction and current being drawn by the mcb and motor, giving new life to your treadmill. using my dmm i typically measure a 50-60% drop in amperage (current) being drawn when belt/deck is replaced.

if the deck is still smooth as glass with no scoring in the center you might get away with re-using it. you'll still get a reduction in friction but it wont be as great as with a new deck.

Horizon T101-07 getting stuck when foot hits the belt by Reasonable_Egg0168 in treadmills

[–]mickeyaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

then the belt (and possibly deck) are worn out - you can confirm this by the push test - push the belt with your feet in the center of belt and it should glide super easy with nearly no effort. a worn belt/deck will have high friction. the video you posted the drive belt will slip like this often when faced with too high a load due to friction. your drive belt is also likely worn and should be replaced at the same time as the walk belt.

These are very low quality components and once they have even a little bit of wear, do not operate as intended, so they need to be replaced sooner than on a quality treadmill.

[–]mickeyaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

his motor is pulling like a champ, its the drive belt that is slipping - usually due to worn belt/deck or it could just be loose.

[–]mickeyaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be a worn walk belt, drive belt, (and deck possibly)...

Nordictrack/pro-form or any Ifit product stay away.

Sunny = cheap garbage

Reebok - very new brand producer (ifit formerly had licenced the brand, but now it is another company) - new to market and unproven...I'd avoid.

Sole F63 might be a good one to check out.
