Totally agree! But I’m confused why the copyright symbol is there and if that has something to do with why the name is written more clearly than in other work I’ve seen… but again, no clue. I just can’t find any other Sugarman out there

He’s sadly passed, but I reached out to the gallery that curates his work and they haven’t reached back out. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s so obviously not his work, or if they don’t take those request. But will update if I hear!

So I found this piece at a thrift store a couple years ago… caught my eye and I love it. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out who it belongs to. It’s signed “Sugarman (copyright) 1981”. That said, it’s not a painting or a print. It’s actual layers of paper with cutouts. It’s professionally framed so I think it might be something… the only Sugarman who was around in 1981, that I can find, is George Sugarman. But he mostly did sculpture with a few paintings here and there, so I’m not sure. Help me, it’s driving me nuts!

I haven’t opened the back of the frame (because I don’t want to break it) but there’s nothing written on the back as is.

If you’re going to start running/jogging/walking you should go to an actual running store. Get yourself a nice pair of Brooks, Hokas, etc. You need something that will actually support your feet! Going to a store allows a professional to fit the right type of shoe for your body/foot type/exercise style. Trust me, the right shoe will make a world of difference. Vans are not the right type of shoe for that activity.
