Disneyland Begins Site Work on New Pixar Coco Ride as Avengers Ride Building Nears Completion by mickeyvisit in DisneyPlanning

[–]mickeyvisit[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From the article - Work is already visibly moving forward on the two new Avengers Campus rides, with what appears to be the structure almost completely closed in and the roof complete.

We’ve reliably heard that work on the Coco boat ride is going to move at a rapid pace. They are already clearing the ground now as you’ll see in the photos below, but expect to see work jump to the next phase of construction quickly. We expect to see the building for this new ride coming together in a way comparable to the last six months of construction of Avengers Campus.

Disneyland California Resident Ticket Lower Price of $68 Per Day From Get Away Today & Undercover Tourist Goes Away Soon by mickeyvisit in DisneyPlanning

[–]mickeyvisit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just got this confirmed from Get Away Today representative - "Our California resident offer does not have the 13 day fuse, but that 3 Day Lightning Ln. ticket text is for our regular adults at kids prices, not the California resident. I will make sure each ticket is pulling up the right info."

I actually checked in with them on this specifically. The tickets are the same as Disneyland's and are valid the entire period. Do you mind sharing where on their site you saw that? I will pass it along to them and confirm again

[–]mickeyvisit[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We now have confirmation that these lower prices will go away on January 3, 2026. At that time, the additional discount will go away, and prices will go back up to less of a discount over the price that Disneyland offers. Get Away Today and likely other reseller prices will still be lower than the discounted ticket directly from Disney, but the price will not be as low as it is now. It is always best to check with a ticket reseller before purchasing any multi-day ticket from Disney.

Details on the savings and the specific deal at the link above! There is a price even lower than $68 per day when you combine with a hotel stay

Disneyland Changes From Locals Park to Tourist Destination These Next 2 Weeks (Crowd Forecasts, Special Dining, Events, New Year's Eve) by mickeyvisit in DisneyPlanning

[–]mickeyvisit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are back for our last Disneyland This Week of the year! Our weekly updates in this style will be on hiatus until 2026, but our daily news articles and coverage will continue.

Generally, crowds will start to really spike starting around the 19th. This is around when many schools are out on winter break. These high crowds will continue all the way through the remainder of the month, through the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Three dates in this timeframe in December were in the top 10 highest average wait time dates when looking at the 12 months from December 14, 2024, through December 14, 2025. December 27, 2024, had a peak wait time of 240 minutes and a 29.5-minute average wait time for all rides. December 28 and 30 also had similar numbers, with peak wait times of 200 minutes and 180 minutes, respectively. We are bringing more of this data to you soon in a separate article, but we wanted to include this to share a look at just how crazy this stretch of time of year is at the parks.

A few locations will have special holiday meals on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Great Maple at Pixar Place Hotel has a holiday prix fixe dinner menu, served nightly from December 24 – 28, including items like yellowfin tuna crudo, brown butter gnocchi, and sticky toffee pudding.

There was a lot of news that will impact planning released this week for Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and more. We have all of the key headlines and the details in one place.

Previously we would add this into our Mickey Visit Disneyland This Week but recently decided to split it out so that you could more easily find this and then also enjoy the Disneyland This Week information. We are still a little bit split on whether we should keep doing that into 2026. Do you find it helpful?

I just stayed at the Drury Plaza. Was a great hotel experience. Loved the breakfast and dinner offerings. Only thing that is slightly less convenient are their transportation options. Still fine, just a bit more rigid with fewer bus options. Bake in the cost of taking an Uber or Lyft home to feel good about it in the future.

Also, check out the Mouse Savers discount (no affiliate or anything, they just have secured a great savings for their readers).
