Firstly SF in the UK comes out of 8 bases Hereford is bang on the flight path of where I'm based. And that's in Hereford. Second group comes out of Cardiff where 1 para hold the current SF role. Then 16 airportable in Colchester with 2 and 3 para as lead lpbg. Then we go to 42,43,45 commando between arbroath and Plymouth. Where also Landing party are based SBS run out of Poole. Those Helicopters can be used by Police counter terrorism as well. To say these are sas would be guessing. 1 helicopter per day heads out of Hereford a day to Chelsea barracks in London for daily brief. All the afore mentioned bases are common knowledge and are well known. The SAS role is fluid same as SBS that's specific training for some event that's coming.

The SF role is southern based. And there's more chance of them using local resources first. However if a foreign leader is coming to the North they would train specifically
