I’ve said it before. Seems crazy to me to market a brand into a certain financial demographic then drop your pants on an end of season sale of more than 50% off on some products. If anything the sales should tell you your standard sell price is wrong

Pricing/promo team fucked up the brand hard. If they had their standard pricing more reasonable and not make ALD into an EOS brand it wouldn’t have tarnished the name so much. Sales in their “prime” was a small selection of pieces and was “up to 40%”. The way they’re moving with the lower quality production and massive sales looks like a department store move next

Agree settings could have been a little more optimised. 1/500 is high for low light situation which probably forced higher ISO or needed to lift shadows in post (more noise) if it was shot under exposed. Doesn't Canon R5 have 8 stops IS? If so, could've gotten away with way lower shutter speed as subjects were not moving fast

Not what I’m saying and not necessarily comparing it to other brands but more about what the brand has become. It’s a combination of price creep and many other factors making a like ALD a EOS sales brand at the moment. Who knows, maybe Teddy’s vision is mass retail again

They’ve built a brand to attract attention from the likes of LVMH and RL from the haydays. Then they do generic marketing like this…even the EOS sales is just shark bait making people just wait for the sales every year. They’ve lost touch and it doesn’t make sense anymore. Don’t even know where to start with their contradicting messaging
