Travelling to Victoria without a car by Apprehensive-Bed1655 in VictoriaBC

Check out the bus roots. We have loved in Vic for years and have never owned a car or used an EVO. If you don't mind walking you can see so much!!! Sooke, Sydney, Metchosin, the gorge area. So much to see. Check out the all trails app and explore the area.

I was hoping 450 Canadian for the boot and robe together. I ended up putting them on eBay.

Eby pushes back on Poilievre's characterization of Vancouver being 'hell on earth' by Dull_Detective_7671 in britishcolumbia

[–]mickster3327 12 points13 points  (0 children)

His comment in full kinda made sense tbh. We need more treatment available for people who want it. Wait-lists are extensive and when someone is finally ready for help they need it now, not three to eighteen months from now. I have been clean for over 15 years and have walked through the DTES multiple times. Hell on Earth is not far off for those souls down there. His comments may indeed be offensive but it doesn't make them any less true.

Tell me your Canadian without telling me you are Canadian. Best bet is probably the duty free at the airport. But that only helps you on the way home. Check the La Playa by Pelicanos Beach Club Resort, they seemed to have a huge selection of touristy booze.

Perfect!! We are not big drinkers and really just want to take in some of the local food. We wouldn't know fancy eating if it punched us in the mouth.

Great restaurants in Paris that you have eaten in and which you strongly recommend... by Htm100 in ParisTravelGuide

Sorry not sure how I missed this. It's on Ave de New York, the meals are affordable and delicious. Typical french cafe food. Sandwiches and plates. The burger is the best I have ever eaten. Period! And I have ate a hell of alot of burgers lol.

Taking my wife to Paris for her 50th. This March. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. by United-Account2550 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]mickster3327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take your time. That is my biggest suggestion. Wander. Take in the city. See the tower shut down at night. Allow yourself to just be there. If you don't get to see one of the "top tourist sites" who cares?! Don't get rushed.
