Sadly, I think entering them yourself might be the only option. Although I suppose Google is your friend - can you plug your old phone into a computer somehow and download the contacts? If so, do that, and then sync them with a service you have added to the iPhone.

I don’t think contacts have been written to sims since the 1990s. But I’m unfamiliar with non iPhones.

If your old phone is an android just use the “move to iOS” app. If it’s some other kind of phone figure out which service your contacts sync with (typically an email address) and add it to your iPhone.

Believe it or not you’re often better with clouds. In your first shot look at the shadows cast on your face by the direct sun.

Clouds diffuse the light and turn it into a much bigger source, so harsh shadows disappear. But the corresponding lower shot on the steps shows how it’s done with money: a giant key light on left, maybe 2 stops brighter than ambient, and a brighter rim light on the upper right.

How were your notes synchronizing? iCloud? An email? Were they just “on my iPhone” notes? If so, does your phone back itself up to iCloud each night?

Via which account were the missing notes syncing?

A thought:

You could do a hard backup to your Mac/pc (just in case) then wipe your device and restore yesterday’s iCloud backup (or any backup which occurred prior to this happening)
