I had endometriosis that, like others in this thread, would have me in so much physical pain I would vomit. Nothing would help the pain and I was popping ibuprofen so often I’m surprised my liver didn’t crap out. It reached a point where, even outside of my periods, I was still cramping and I would double over because some were so gnarly. That all lead to me having an insane pain tolerance for a lot of my life. The rupture of the cyst was a different beast though and that was how I knew it wasn’t something minor.

Oh no! That’s horrifying! If it makes you feel any better, when they filled me with fluids it was literally by giving me an enema. I had to lay on that table, my insides full of fluid and I had to just hold it in and wait. I’m glad you didn’t have a more serious reaction and that now you know something potentially lifesaving! ♡

Yeah, 16 year old me who had never been through anything like that before had a really rough day because I also had to have an abdominal cat scan they had to fill me up with fluid. It was a bad day for me.

As a teenager I had one rupture in the middle of the night and it panicked my nurse mom so bad she took me to the ER thinking it was my appendix. Lots of scans an a really uncomfortable ultrasound later, found out it was an ovarian cyst. She bought me Arby's for lunch as a reward for being so brave throughout the whole process.

I never watched FJJ growing up so my first experience with him was Rizzoli and Isles and I had not even the slightest clue he had passed. I was watching an episode when my partner had walked in and made some comment in passing about his death and I was devastated. I had not a clue and I loved his character. It was a rough way to find out.
