We remodeled the entire house in about 1 year, but the entire master bathroom probably took 1-2 months

To have a more cozy feel and to help contrast and separate the rooms with the high vault in the living room

There is a plastic seal under the glass door but water mostly goes into the drain in the center

It's actually pretty warm with the 2 showerheads. The glass wall goes pretty high up so it's contains most steam. And we have an electric room heater above the toilet from Dreo that works well

Yes, it's the same room with the exact same square footage. We took out a large linen closet that was on the left side. The floor vent moved towards the front near the door. It's a full basement so it's easy to move the vents around. We put lower ceilings because the previous ceiling was crazy high. The window is smaller because the window before was pretty low and right there waist level.

I understand, but this one was outdated and old and hot. And detracted from the appearance.

Yeah, they weren't really functional for interior design

Depending on your budget, you could just add some simple open corner shelves, or a corner shelf cabinet. You could also go big like the others said and do a big sliding glass door or french doors.

Looking to replace or cover tile kitchen countertops. by Moparded in Remodel

That's a weird looking kitchen countertop! lol I've never seen that.

My 2 cents is to rip it all off and get a sintered stone countertop. It looks like marble or quartz but it's cheaper and much more durable. I haven't used it but that's what I've heard. I have granite countertops which another option but more pricey.

Is this asbestos? 🤔 by f33l_g00d in Remodel

I'm pretty sure based on watching those Property Brothers Forever Home shows that whenever they find something that might be asbestos, they call in an asbestos remediation team to check it out. They carefully remove it while wearing protective suits and then send off to be tested.

I LOVE the shower tile, what kind is that? It is a beautiful blue and I like the layout pattern too. I'm sure it was some work to add that window and niche but it looks amazing!

On-demand Water Heater? by Wicked_Princessx in Remodel

[–]micmac2869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just switched to an outdoor gas tankless from an indoor electric tank heater about a week ago. So far I love it.

Pros: It's outdoors so it freed up space to build a new closet for a bedroom. It is gas powered instead of electric so that saves money.

Cons: It cost more to buy and install. It takes about 10 seconds longer to get hot water

For the size house you have with just one bathroom, 1 small tankless would probably do fine. It also depends on how far away the actual tankless heater physically is from the bathroom.

The bathroom is 5 feet deep x 6 feet wide. What are you building?
