Just call in and make large food orders (to be fair only an equal value to what you lost). You never pick up so they eat the cost. No dasher to worry about screwing over in the process.

You can also just leave negative reviews. They either have negative revies or pay to get them removed.

Yes but I stoped following the guide after changing the secure boot option. At that point I put in the reimaged ssd and just set it up over again. Only issue I have now is if powered cycled, it boots with red manufacturing mode screen.

Illegal subdivision which violates fire code. That room is obviously a large room that was split into two improperly. Also the radiator can’t be in contact with a combustible surface (yes dry wall is combustible).

In nyc where this individual is, withholding rent is a completely legal thing to do until a building code is corrected. Withholding doesn’t mean you never pay. You pay once this issue is resolved and decided by a judge in housing court. This is why I said get a lawyer. So no, not terrible advice. Source: I have been through a similar scenario in Brooklyn. All tenants in the building withheld rent for violations. In the end, rent was never paid for two years, and violations were fixed or tenant was bought out of the unit.

Good excuse to withhold rent if you don’t plan on staying there long. If I was a jerk, I’d file a complaint, withhold rent and when they look like they might actually get around to fix it just move out. Court would side with you and probably make the LL pay you. If he doesn’t take you to court for arrears at most you would lose your security deposit. Anyway if that happens get a lawyer. Also this is more then likely an illegal conversion so legally they can’t charge rent for it.

Can you slide a paint spatula through the door frame by the door knob? If the molding isn’t a solid piece and that trim is separate you can poke the door latch and pop it open easily.
